They are from the Philippines, very popular in Batangas. Balisong is tagalog for broken horn.

balisong knife originated from france but was popularized by filipinos. it is basically a pocket knife or an all around knife here in the philippines. you can take it with you almost anywhere (except malls, banks, schools and other establishments)because of its usefulness.

ive got and old benchmade folder that has the butterfly logo but instead of saying benchmade it says balisong and under that on the blade it says benchmade usa it has g-10 handle scales an open frame linerlock an ats-34 blade and pocket clip as well as sheath.its never been used and i still have the box and paperwork.if anybody has any idea of its value please let me know
