Damon Braces: Day 1

I want to get clear Damon braces becuz I'm a new girl in school and I'm very self conscious (WHT a coincidence).. Pls tell me did it hurt at all (the process or putting it on?) did it hurt afterwards (and after how many hours) THANKS SO MUCH UR VIDEO HELPED ME A LOT ON WHT TO EXPECT !! :)

@Meggiemoo2810 aw... I probably paid way more for my braces too :-/ Mine were pricier than almost everyone else that I talk to! & I had nothing special done before hand or required anything extra. Just the braces and that's it! (I did spend an extra $500 to have the clear top braces)

Tell me my gums are swelled behind my mouth i mean the molers and i cant brush or floss coz the brackets blocking it and still have baby teeth and im 17 how do you let them swell down

I would ask your orthodontist. I never experienced any of that, nor did I have baby teeth.

Yay! I'm getting these in a few hours! However, I'm getting both top and bottom clear. Also mine only cost $5,800. About 1000 less than yours.

@hottdog2007 nice! That's good. Good luck :) They don't offer the clear ones for bottoms at my orthodontist. & where you live and the extremity of the teeth make a difference for price. But I don't mind what I paid. It's whatever. lol

I have a CareCredit Card, so I put $3,000 down before I got them put on. I pay about $100/month on the credit card. & the rest I pay to the orthodontist (no interest or anything like that) I pay the orthodontist $185/month. So to sum it up (roughly) I pay about $300/month.

The total cost for the braces came around $6,800 I think. It was like $6,7??

does it hurt ... i hear people say that when you have braces it hurts soo much its brutal? ... how are you able to talk . im getting braces next month and im really nervous that its going t hurt . x

honestly, it didn't hurt at all. I went in expecting the worse. But it wasn't too bad. I ate pizza about an hour after I got them on. I didn't need any additions, though. So I think that plays a big role in it. I didn't get spacers or palette extenders, etc.. I also don't have my bottom braces on yet. All in all, it was slightly annoying and pressure for 1-2 weeks. But I took pain killer and it helped a lot.

@JenniferLisa923 could u explain all that termonolgy please. spacers, additions, etc? deluxe kit with attachments? im thinking of getting the semi clear damons and ive had the report back so i dont need any teeth out but thats about all i know...

also, ive heard damons dont use ligatures, those coloured things, but what r they!? :S
