  • was a great show

  • actually glad they muted that Christopher Cross shite.. Ive a long list of their shite artist of theirs of today they can mute as well.. thanks for posting this clip , much appreciated..

  • Christopher Cross? Really? why is the sound cut out of this clip? Does anybody like that shit.

  • @JZOINKL - Did you bother to READ the description? It's because WARNER MUSIC GROUP (and now other like SONY MUSIC) mute videos that have their music in them if you didn't pay them for the rights to use their property.

  • @lbCharmed1 It's ironic that Sony and WMG are throwing away all this free advertising.

  • how many seasons 6? Bring this show back! If dancers can dance to rap!

  • @TheBobbiemac - actually there were 8 seasons. The series premiered in Sept. 1980 and ended in Aug. 1988. Season 7 was known as SOLID GOLD '87 and the 8th season was SOLID GOLD IN CONCERT.

  • @lbCharmed1 Thanks.

  • how many seasons 6? Bring this show make. If dancers can dance to rap!

  • Surreal

  • are the people who own the music afraid we're going to record this low quality audio and play it on our mp3 players? WHAT A BUNCH OF STUPID F'ING IDIOTS!

  • Even if the level of dancing has grown today, I don't find the choreographies so bad to call them awful. They are still entertaining to watch, as today we don't have these kinds of shows today

  • This is so funny to watch now. I remember throwing a fit if I missed it. When I was little I wanted to be a solid gold dancer! HA! Thanks for sharing this!

  • No problem, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for commenting.

  • this so needs to be digitally remastered. I think some Gen X-ers would love this. We did watch this show religiously, along with playing Atari. :)

  • Digitally remastering would be EXCELLENT!

  • Dear God, these people were awful. For "professional dancers", they had poor choreography, poor moves and poor coordination. You can tell that there were only three stations to watch at the time since there must have been nothing else to watch.

  • Your opinion is just that, your opinion. But keep in mind at one time these dancers were the cream of the crop and some of the most famous dancers in the world.

Not everyone's taste is the same. Thanks for commenting.

  • Thank You!!!

  • I don't agree, but if there is another weekly TV show that you'd like to point out that has dance performances that are consistently better than this with an ensemble cast as gorgeous as these people, then let me know. I would love to see it!

I do agree that some of the performances the 1st season looked a bit rougher than those that followed the next several seasons. Jeff, do you think this was due to better dancers or better choreography?

  • Actually I think I was a matter of maturing, both for the the show & the dancers, the show was new and really figuring which direction it was going to go, and several of the dancers were very young & maturing in their own styles individually. Case in point, Pam, look at how she grew, starting out a cute, perky dancer that bloomed into a beautifully elegant dancer that was still energetic.

  • Absolutely! Honestly, if I had half the rhythm or athletic prowess that one of these dancers from the 1st season had, I would be thrilled!

  • I would LOVE to see the dancers performing with Baltimora when sings "Tarzan Boy"....If anyone has this...please post it...Please????

  • An excellent addition, thank you! Can we ever hope to see this wonderful series on DVD?

  • Thanks and ufortunately none of us know whether it will come out on DVD.

  • Hey lb...thnk you...i thought all the early episodes were posted...as much as i love Season 5...i love the first few seasons more...thank you

  • Not a problem. As I get them I'll work in posting them!

  • I don't have words to thanks all these posting, pam rossi looks stunning, my favorite dancer

  • I agree that Pam in the early days was so young and pretty then, as she matured, she became simply beautiful.

  • I am agree, as usual excellent work, this season was the door to a fantastic show that is alive in us the fans

  • You are so right!

  • I remember watching this episode when it first aired in December 1980.

  • Pretty trippy when you have vivid flashback like that, huh??

  • omg!!!! eXceLLent!! and it was 1980- I don't think I was watching SG then- I was only 11- I was probably watching The Pink Panther on Saturday nights.

  • I was watching from day1. Stay tuned. More will be coming!

  • as usual well done. Cant believe how many episodes you have. Thanks so much

  • I am trying to get as complete a collection as possible, but I am nowhere close. ;-)
