To make things clear, the Dunmer have a tradition of naming places based on the gods who live there. The city where Vivec lives is called Vivec, the crater of Red Mountain is called Dagoth Ur, Mournhold is on some maps marked as Almalexia (because she lives there), and likewise the Clockwork City is named Sotha Sil in Tribunal.
@1234yersiman I think they're referring to the actual ENTRANCE to the mountain, which was the city Vvardenfell (from which the island gains its name) as the Dwemer called it. Dagoth Ur renamed it after himself after he claimed dominance there and made it his citadel.
The reason you don't is because this is like the first or second era, which means that not only has dagoth ur not found it but the dwarves/dwarvern people haven't found it either!
@Greenhelm64 Ahh.. okay thanks:). It´s just that I have only heard it called Red Mountain, so I was a bit confused. But thanks for clearing that up for me.
the dwarven ruin looks nothing like it does in morrowind. It's a shame, they didn't really 'invent' the dwarves in elder scrolls until redguard came out.
i used to be REALLY into arena until they put daggerfall up for download but i mite give tes arena another go im at the ice dungeon or summut like that
Love the riddle, nice play on the words.

I wish that Bethesda would release an Elder Scrolls MMO sometime in the past where we could explore all of Nirn.
Tamriel, Akavir, Atmora, Yokuda unsunken and unlost, and Aldmeris.

@CaribbeanRyda I think dagoth ur is mainly the mountain because arena was the first game
cryssiss 1 year ago
@CaribbeanRyda They are refering to the mountain, not the god.

@dealer360 ...You do realize the first game is only, say, 40 years game time behind Morrowind?
Also Dagoth Ur and the events surrounding him happened in the first era. xD

@CaribbeanRyda And I thought that there is Dagoth Ur in Arena...

Hmmm... I might be stupid, but is´nt Dagoth-Ur one of the "living gods" of the Dunmer?? And the place he lives in/at is called Red Mountin??
Nekhet 1 year ago
@Nekhet yes,you are stupid. dagoth ur is also the name of the place where dagoth ur himself dwells, and vivec is where vivec dwells etc
