In response, even this was years ago when you posted this (I just came across it): You are to keep the Sabbath by keeping it HOLY. God set aside this time as holy. It's the only commandment that says REMEMBER. There's a reason for this. God is very clear about how we are to hallow the Sabbath. There is no way around NOT keeping the Sabbath. I keep the Sabbath by not working. I go to church, I try to focus on things that are holy on that day. Just my perspective. Peace!

But one thing, towards the end you say we will keep the Sabbath Day. Rev 22:5 seems to indicate there will be no sun or nightime anymore, so I don't think we will have a day cycle, so perhaps it will be an eternal Sabbath Day.

You might be interested in studying Catholic history and how they are the people on earth that changed the day of rest not God. Remember that it was God not man who made that day of rest, and it was Jesus, the Son of God who also kept the Sabbath day holy as an example of how we should live our life. thanks for the advice. but im confused. you say the catholic church changed the sabbath. but up until 1054 AD there was no seperate denominations. It was just one unified church. So im assuming you mean the original church changed the sabbath. When did they change the sabbath?
the sabbath is not the center of christianity, christ is. i believe saturday is the sabbath and it is good to keep it if one wishes but the gentiles were never commanded to keep it by god, isreal was. Acts 15 shows gentiles wernt commanded to keep the law of moses which included the sabbath. if we dont keep the sabbath we still believe that God created evrything, unlike atheists.

God gave various commandments ( including the Ten) from Exodus Chapters 20-23 & after that, Moses wrote down all of them (the Ten INCLUDED) in a book (ref: Exodus 24:4-7). The book of the Law of Moses was also called the book of the Law of God (Neh 8:18). So if the handwriting of ordinances in that book were nailed to the cross, obviously the Sabbath commandment was one of them.
If someone has a set of rules and I write notes on it on how it helps my life, and lets say I through it away, does it mean the principle of the rules given me are no use too? Why was the book of the law written? It was a shadow of ceremonials to show us how to come close to Christ. Each step of the sanctuary and ordinances pointed to Christ.
Now with the Sabbath we need to study carefully because there is the Sabbath of the 10'C and Sabbath of the *ceremonial services*
Ezek 46:4-5 & Num 28:9-10 revealed that additional burnt, meat & drink offerings had to be made every Sabbath. If such offerings were not made, the Israelites & Jews (prior to Jesus' crucifixion) would have broken the 7th day Sabbath. Therefore 7th day Sabbath-keeping was also a ceremonial law (i.e. a weekly rest plus additional sacrifices) that was nailed to the cross.
Like I said to you, you have to look at the context of the sabbaths. There was a ceremonial sabbath which pointed to the work of Christ and the Sabbath of the 10'C which points out the sign that God is the creator of everything. You need to ask, which aspect of the Sabbath was this because in Lev 23 they had Sabbaths not only on the 7th day but on different days. You can't mix the Sabbath of the 10'C which God requires us to keep, with the ceremonial practices of Israel

My friend read the first verse of Romans 14. It was based on doubtful disputations. Is the Sabbath day of Creation (not ceremonial sabbaths) the 7th day? Yes no doubt. Is it part of the Ten Commandments? Yes no doubt. Is it in Heaven right now where by we will be judged? Yes Rev 11:19 no doubt.

He made laws of clean and unclean food, but remember everything in the law was given for a purpose, it had to do with salvation, something that would be completed in Jesus Christ.
Remember how the Jews thought that the gentiles were unclean? They wouldn't even eat with them.

How do we show our loyalty to God without The Sabbath Day?
Well, you can't because it is a part of God's law. If you break one of his laws, you destroy the relationship between him and yourself. The Sabbath was made for us to remember who is our Creator and if that is taken, we're truly lost in sin.

Romans 14 is so clear about it. But EW "commanding to abstain from meats" so we can´t eat meat. Jesus commanded in MT 5:24 "first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." According to Adventists logic, we all still have to bring offerings, because the LAW said so.

look carefully at that verse...for whosoever shall keep the whole law and offend it in one point, he is guilty of all.
There is not one single person who claims to keep the law perfectly, even among adventists, so thus by their own words they are guilty of the whole law.
The bible tells us that we're all sinners, so the law essentially dooms us all because no one other than Jesus kept it perfectly.

Mankind attempted to work his way to Heaven through self-righteousness, but he utterly failed (Romans 3:19; James 2:10).
This is represented by man working 6-days prior to the Sabbath Day.
Today, Jesus is our Sabbath, i.e., He is the fulfillment of what the Sabbath Day symbolized. In Christ we rest for salvation. Colossians 2:16,17 state, "...or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come..." A shadow is only cast when the sun is afar off in the distance. Once the sun rises overhead, the shadow vanishes away.
Hence, when Jesus Christ fulfilled His earthly mission, He took the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (Colossians 2:14). There is NO Sabbath Day today. It was nailed to the cross. Jesus has become our Sabbath, and in Him alone we rest for our salvation.
Sabbath Keepers are idolaters, worshipping the creature more than the Creator. You'd think nothing else mattered in life except the Sabbath Day from listening to these heretics. What did God say in Colossians 2:16, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days..." Catholics worship Mary. Charismatics worship speaking-in-tongues. Sabbath-Keepers worship the Sabbath. Televangelists worship money. Christians are commanded to worship the Lord! Sabbath Keepers are "vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head..." (Colossians 2:18,19).
Eternal life is a free gift, not conditioned upon the lifestyle we choose to live. Certainly, something is very wrong with a man who professes to be saved, but is still living a sinful life without Holy Spirit conviction. He is likely not saved; but Scriptures are filled with such examples of believers who WERE saved, such as when Peter cursed and denied the name of Jesus publicly.
For anyone to teach that unfaithful believers will lose their salvation and burn in Hell goes contrary to other Scriptures in the Bible. Ephesians 2:8,9 plainly state that we are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus. Salvation is not of works, lest any man show boast. It is the gift of God. If living a faithful life is required to keep salvation, then we DO have grounds to boast, because we are working hard to make God happy and stay saved.
The Bible condemns such thinking and tells us that salvation is a gift, freely received by faith alone in Jesus Christ...

The event which took place in Genesis 15:6 was different from the event which took place in Genesis 22:8-10. We see in the New Testament that Paul spoke of the ROOT of Abraham's faith; BUT, James spoke of the FRUIT of Abraham's faith. We read in Romans 4:3, "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness." This occurred in Genesis 15:6, which is when Abraham was born again.

In response, even this was years ago when you posted this (I just came across it): You are to keep the Sabbath by keeping it HOLY. God set aside this time as holy. It's the only commandment that says REMEMBER. There's a reason for this. God is very clear about how we are to hallow the Sabbath. There is no way around NOT keeping the Sabbath. I keep the Sabbath by not working. I go to church, I try to focus on things that are holy on that day. Just my perspective. Peace!

I like your video. Think it is a great question. One I'm still seeking a solid answer. But for now, for the most part, I believe the way you do about it.
But one thing, towards the end you say we will keep the Sabbath Day. Rev 22:5 seems to indicate there will be no sun or nightime anymore, so I don't think we will have a day cycle, so perhaps it will be an eternal Sabbath Day.

Beware of people saying the commandments are part of ''the law''that we are no longer bound by.Remember how satan threw a misconception at Eve to get her to transgress against God's command and yes do not eat was a command just as remember the sabbath is a command.Matt 24 Jesus warns us and includes the sabbath.Keeping the commandments of God shows loyalty and will exclude you from the mark of the beast.

You might be interested in studying Catholic history and how they are the people on earth that changed the day of rest not God. Remember that it was God not man who made that day of rest, and it was Jesus, the Son of God who also kept the Sabbath day holy as an example of how we should live our life. the sabbath is not the center of christianity, christ is. i believe saturday is the sabbath and it is good to keep it if one wishes but the gentiles were never commanded to keep it by god, isreal was. Acts 15 shows gentiles wernt commanded to keep the law of moses which included the sabbath. if we dont keep the sabbath we still believe that God created evrything, unlike atheists.

My friend it doesnt matter if the word is the same meaning. The word Sabbath means rest but you need to understand the context. Verse 14 says HANDwriting of ordinance which was *against us*.
Deut 31:26 says that it was the book of the law that was *against us* and this was placed in the side of the ark while the 10'C was placed inside. To remove the Sabbath of creation is to open inside the ark and literally hammer that commandment out

My friend I am not here to judge anyone at all, I am only expressing what the Word of God says. It is part of the 10 Precepts, the standard of Righteousness which is unchangeable. It identifies His as the creator of Heaven and Earth. Removing the Sabbath we have nothing to say against atheist who say there was no creation etc

God gave various commandments ( including the Ten) from Exodus Chapters 20-23 & after that, Moses wrote down all of them (the Ten INCLUDED) in a book (ref: Exodus 24:4-7). The book of the Law of Moses was also called the book of the Law of God (Neh 8:18). So if the handwriting of ordinances in that book were nailed to the cross, obviously the Sabbath commandment was one of them.

If someone has a set of rules and I write notes on it on how it helps my life, and lets say I through it away, does it mean the principle of the rules given me are no use too? Why was the book of the law written? It was a shadow of ceremonials to show us how to come close to Christ. Each step of the sanctuary and ordinances pointed to Christ.
Now with the Sabbath we need to study carefully because there is the Sabbath of the 10'C and Sabbath of the *ceremonial services*

Ezek 46:4-5 & Num 28:9-10 revealed that additional burnt, meat & drink offerings had to be made every Sabbath. If such offerings were not made, the Israelites & Jews (prior to Jesus' crucifixion) would have broken the 7th day Sabbath. Therefore 7th day Sabbath-keeping was also a ceremonial law (i.e. a weekly rest plus additional sacrifices) that was nailed to the cross.

Like I said to you, you have to look at the context of the sabbaths. There was a ceremonial sabbath which pointed to the work of Christ and the Sabbath of the 10'C which points out the sign that God is the creator of everything. You need to ask, which aspect of the Sabbath was this because in Lev 23 they had Sabbaths not only on the 7th day but on different days. You can't mix the Sabbath of the 10'C which God requires us to keep, with the ceremonial practices of Israel

Hebrew 4:9 tell us sabbath is still active. My friend read the first verse of Romans 14. It was based on doubtful disputations. Is the Sabbath day of Creation (not ceremonial sabbaths) the 7th day? Yes no doubt. Is it part of the Ten Commandments? Yes no doubt. Is it in Heaven right now where by we will be judged? Yes Rev 11:19 no doubt.
You need to understand the context of the matter at hand. Just like in Gal 4 there were some christians keeping the ceremonial laws and Paul extensively on that

the sabbath hasnt changed and if u wish to keep it then grace be to god. but do not judge others who do not. In romans 14 paul is writing to rome which was both jews and gentiles mixed who has disagreements over the sabbath, dietary laws and the rest of the old covenant laws.

He made laws of clean and unclean food, but remember everything in the law was given for a purpose, it had to do with salvation, something that would be completed in Jesus Christ.
Remember how the Jews thought that the gentiles were unclean? They wouldn't even eat with them.
Then Jesus gave Peter a dream, and showed him numerous unclean animals. And he told kill and eat...and said..what God hath cleansed, call thou not common/unclean.
What was once unclean is now clean, through faith.

now we are christians and if you read your word and i don't mean to be rude. the first christians was at antioch and they were jews that kept the sabbath. so i am a christian that does what my Lord did as his custom Luke 4:16 and since i am a "follower" of Jesus than i do what Jesus does because i am a follower of Jesus. now i am no adventist i am an apostolic i believe that God is JESUS and he is the Holy Spirit . Romans 14 is so clear about it. But EW "commanding to abstain from meats" so we can´t eat meat. Jesus commanded in MT 5:24 "first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." According to Adventists logic, we all still have to bring offerings, because the LAW said so.

This is a woman who was a deep, deep sinner, yet she showed more love to God, then the teacher of the law, who claimed to keep the law, including the sabbath.
it's not the law that shows loyalty, the law shows you exactly how UNLOYAL you are to God, bringing you on your knees to Jesus christ, just like the woman in the story.

look carefully at that verse...for whosoever shall keep the whole law and offend it in one point, he is guilty of all.
There is not one single person who claims to keep the law perfectly, even among adventists, so thus by their own words they are guilty of the whole law.
The bible tells us that we're all sinners, so the law essentially dooms us all because no one other than Jesus kept it perfectly.
You may claim to keep the sabbath, but do you really?

You are guilty of the whole law if you offend in one point. So unless you keep the entire law perfectly, you already are a breaker of the law which contains the sabbath.
So truly no righteousness comes at all from the law, unless one keeps it totally and completely. The law can't show your loyalty to God, because you are as guilty of it as the next person.
The more we learn of the law, the more we learn that we're sinners, and the closer you should draw to Christ.

No Christian will ever lose their salvation, nor be cast into Hell. If a believer commits adultery and murder, they will still go to Heaven. King David is evidence of this Biblical fact. Certainly, no believer has God's permission to sin, and the Lord will chastise His own (Hebrews 12:8).

Eternal life is a free gift, not conditioned upon the lifestyle we choose to live. Certainly, something is very wrong with a man who professes to be saved, but is still living a sinful life without Holy Spirit conviction. He is likely not saved; but Scriptures are filled with such examples of believers who WERE saved, such as when Peter cursed and denied the name of Jesus publicly.

For anyone to teach that unfaithful believers will lose their salvation and burn in Hell goes contrary to other Scriptures in the Bible. Ephesians 2:8,9 plainly state that we are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus. Salvation is not of works, lest any man show boast. It is the gift of God. If living a faithful life is required to keep salvation, then we DO have grounds to boast, because we are working hard to make God happy and stay saved.

While I do agree that true saving faith produces the fruits of the Spirit. This occurs only after one is saved totally and completely by grace, and plays no part in saving anyone or keeping anyone saved.
These fruits, however, aren't always immediate, they grow with a christian as they learn of Jesus. As they grow closer and closer to him, their lives become shaped by him.
However, even if they had no works and they all got burned they themselves would be saved.

The event which took place in Genesis 15:6 was different from the event which took place in Genesis 22:8-10. We see in the New Testament that Paul spoke of the ROOT of Abraham's faith; BUT, James spoke of the FRUIT of Abraham's faith. We read in Romans 4:3, "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness." This occurred in Genesis 15:6, which is when Abraham was born again.
