  • great to play freebird , c pentatonic and g mixologian on.

  • Haha, used the C harp well...

  • That was fun...need to replace my strings after that bend -a- thon...Thanks!!

  • Free Bird.

  • I just had a music orgasm.

  • Nice ;) I just raped my wah-wah pedal!

  • FREE BIRD

  • I think it's written that's in G or C because it can be played in G minor or C major, which is the equivalent of G dorian, so it can be played in G eolian (normal minor) or in G dorian if you wanna do a modal impro ;)

  • @aur3L74 You are only partially right. It is in G minor. But that is not the equivalent of C major. It is the equivalent of A# major. Simple way to figure it out is to go a wholetone+a semitone up. Or if you just wanna look at it as frets.... whatever Minor your in... go up 3 frets and that is your major. So for instance A minor is your C major. If you go to google and download a copy of The Guitar Grimoire: Scales and Modes.. read up on that some and it will teach you all of that stuff

  • Yep, awesome is the word...

  • awesome!

  • it's in G.. there's no such thing as a song that's in two different tonalities at once.

  • freebird ftw lol

  • @kevinanthony87 yeah .. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird... best for fuckin´ loud jam

  • I do not understand, these chords are G C D D. So I don't understand how this song could be in C, it is in G right?

  • @BelRiose2000 in G

  • @BelRiose2000 The chords are G Bflat C C

  • @rileypoole1234 That's right bro G Bflat C fun song to jam 2

  • lol in G not in C....

  • @InfiniteExplanation it could be C, just think of the G blues scale, you still go through C so you could be both, whether u start on G or C it`ll primarily sound the same.

  • i played this whole thing and never ran out of materiel :D thanks man.

  • would you fly high free bird yeah!?

  • I stopped jamming to this when I saw the wah-man

  • Oh man this kicks my ass when i try to play really fast but i love it, it is pushing my abilities like crazy!

  • level: expert-------> try to play like each one of the guitarists as their photos come in your screen

  • @nikolas99t Cool idea!

  • @nikolas99t the only one i can match is kirk... cause my solo sounds crappy lol

  • @1shin123 You must have a wah pedal.

  • @nikolas99t 2.47?!?!? =)

  • @MrPalma93 SLASH AGAIN :P

  • @nikolas99t Challenge accepted!

Loljks i'm not THAT fucken good yet. At all... -___-

  • freebird!!

  • KEEP LOVIN THIS ONE!

  • G major or A minor.......C would be lydian

  • @Mesaboogiedualrec E minor, not A minor...

  • @Mesaboogiedualrec a minor wuld be almost lydian too, since its similar to c major

  • fuck yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh awesome trackkkkk!

  • Yeah! This was fun.... very strange though.. it kinda brings u to "Free Bird"..... Thanks for the track! :)

  • @Dennizzz119 i was born with 11 fingers.

  • I did a hard rock guitar backing track in E minor for those who want to jam on :)

  • G or C??say what? that sounds like a minor bird

  • Correct me if i'm wrong, but that's the rthym of the solo on Lynyrd Skynerd's Freebird!

  • @MrDiziMan It's not the exact same, but it is extremely close.

  • Really it's just a rock in g, same chord progression as purple haze (cept that's in e), or a million other things. The chords are just the first three notes of the minor pentatonic, but minor scales like dorian or aeolian or whatever don't fit brilliantly. A good idea is to mix the major and minor pentatonics.

  • @BarophobiaIsFun Yes but there is not much of a difference between Major and minor. Try to mix 2 or more minor patterns. for ex the 3 possition ( fret) with the pattern on the 6th frett. it's nice

  • @BarophobiaIsFun or you could bust out some weird ass shit and start playing in f locrian or maybe a b phrygian, or throw in a mixolydian lick every once in a while or something. that would be wild XD

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFRRRRRRRRREEEEEEE BBBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!! That's the Rhythm under the solo (in case anyone didn't already know). \m/ Gimme that Skeen-nerd!

  • isn't this the end of free bird by lynyrd skynyrd?

  • @huh0uh thats what i thought XD

  • i was really fucking rocking it out.. even tho it might of stunk.. but practice makes overachievers lmao

  • Fuck I started playing free bird haha

  • In a G Major scale are the notesm G - A - B - C- D- E- F# And G again, so tell me why the second chord is being played is an Bb Which is part of the G minor scale

  • @Dennizzz119 cuz g major is gay, use g blues or minor pentatonic..

  • i just can´t resist to play frebird's knocking out solo!!!

  • free bird :D!

  • MIXOLYDIAN!!!!!!!\

  • FREE BIRD

  • this is litterally a copy of the rythym guitar fdrom free bird's solo

  • @SirBigBrain its a backing track of freebird...

  • freebird lol.

  • I forgot that Free Bird is just Em Pentatonic, this backing is PERFECT!

  • @ShortFingeredShreder Freebird is Gminor rofl.

  • @Dennizzz119 It's G major, which E is the relative minor...

  • @ShortFingeredShreder G-minor, i bet you,

  • @Dennizzz119 It's G Major.

  • @Berserkedy Freebird is in G minor.

  • @Dennizzz119 The beginning part, but for the song in general it's primarily G Major. You could use any G scale and it would sound good, really.

  • fucking great backing track... real simple.. i think i did my best bass solo so far on this track!

  • A girl walked into my room while I was playing this...she is now pregnant.

  • tell me im not the only one who played free brd

  • LoL I haven't used any scale just let my fantasy free and it came out awesome.... one of my best jams thx m8!!!!!! eargasm XDDD :D

  • Just had the most orgasmic jam over this, but I'm afraid I also stopped playing at 2:53

  • I was born with 6 fingers, but I played too fast now one of them is in an other dimension.

  • @Dennizzz119 Tough luck, being born with only 6 while everyone else has 10.

  • @RayWilliamJonshon Good fun copycat

  • @Dennizzz119 It's okay you still have one more than most people

  • @Dennizzz119 I was born with 10

  • Lol I've been playing with some backing tracks pretty much the whole afternoon , then i found this backing track. And i played the shit out of it. Then i palyed the shit out of it again , playing behind my head etc for no particular reason. When i checked how long this one was i was fucking shocked and my hands immediately started to hurt like fucking hell. 14 minutes of blues-like shredding dear god.

I'm so fucking tired I'm going to get a shower and then jam one more time.

  • mmmm try using the F or Dm scales, use A phrigian and Dm Pentatonic

  • @Flamie666

You mean F mixolydian D phrygian, A lydian and Gm pentatonic?

  • @ragrytakr Or perhaps C mitichlorian B ad nasuem, G Lorem Ipsum and E bubonic chronic?

  • Try using the F or Dm scales, A phrigian sounds nice, Dm pentatonic, etc.

  • That's funny I found this two when I was downloading some backtracks. It is a nice track to open Shred on.

  • Can't get enough of Free Bird. Thanks for uploading.

  • it sounds better to me to use the G pentatonic, aeolian and blues scales for this backing track and throw in some licks from Freebird and You shook me all night long... what do you think?

  • @aquaba17 every nice hard rock song in G tbh. Add some paradise city to it also, and some improv of course ;)
