Also, the last Wonderboy was murdered by the Monarch after Dr. Girlfriend left him at like the end of season one (which he explains to her in this episode). The Wonderboy in therapy only states that once he turned eighteen, he was dismissed. It can be assumed that since he was raised by a man child like captain sunshine, and was never actually prepared for life outside, leaving him an emotional wreck. Sunshine is just an extremely awkward man.
