@moger999 if someone already answered this, then i'm sorry if i'm repeating. She isn't fusing with every enemy. It's called fusion because her dna has been altered with metroid dna. If you watch the cutscene before playing the game, it explains everything ^^;

Archnus was so fun a fight! I also loved Serris, he's just like the Giant Sea Snake from Super Metroid! But the best of all was the B.O.X! His theme was awesome and he was one of the coolest bosses!

Actually, there are 2 scenes with metroid. In the restricted laboratory, you find a chamber with metroids in it. then, the sa-x is shooting at them in the same room. Finally, the EASIER final boss is an OMEGA METROID! does it make sense now? In the actual METROID 2 for Gameboy (original black and white gameboy), there is a debut of omega, gamma, alpha, and zeta metroids.

SM is and will be for me the best platform game ever, and fusion was a disappointment (not in the same intensity level) for all metroid 2D fans... yes, it's a fun game to play and has some relative difficulty when it comes to getting 100%, but it's a bit lame near SM...

Well, this might sound overly-nostalgic of me, but I guess I was expecting more of a Super Metroid type game. Y'know, a nice (relatively) big environment for you to explore, and not get led around on a leash with.

Simply put, I prefer the exploration of SM then the "Go to Objective A-->Go to Object B of Fusion. I mean, it's not a bad game, just not what I was expecting.

Personally, I preferred Fusion, but I can see where you're coming from, it was great to be able to explore Super Metroid at will. Even though I was terrible at it. :P

My main problem with SM is that Samus was a bit floaty for my tastes. Jumping, running, etc. wasn't as accurate as I'd have liked. But I'm anal.

Still, both great games.
