I wish somebody would post this song from JD Sumner. I´ve searched for it everywhere, but i`ve never found the whole song. JD goes much lower, I think down to C#1.

I second that...london paris, and imagen, how he sounds like back in the 60's-70's compare that to todays, PA systems....

I just know that the Stamps and JD were the first to record it for distribution.
It is possible that the voice on the video above is not JD
@elemty Sounds like its very likely its London Parris on the recording, Its not JD I know that much.

That doesn't really sound like JD to me, I've watched EVERY JD clip on here, and it doesn't sound like him to me.

who is this group? the real one?
softballchick1993 3 years ago
No, we lip-synch'd to a cd. These are just 4 guys from the same church, Calvary Baptist of Simpsonville, SC.
The "real" group that recorded this was J. D. Sumner with The Stamps quartet.
no it is London Paris and The Blackwood Brothers. The lead is James Blackwood
Why is this song so prone to being parodied?

I guess 'cause everyone wants to be a Bass Singer? ;-) It's also a fun song too!
