This girl sure knows how to pic but i seriously can't get over the fact that she makes a total fool of her self jumping around like that on the stage. Might be my bluegrass conservatism talkin' but.... She knows how to pic that banjo though!
Wendy was 20 years ahead of ALL the rest of the female artists in Bluegrass--not only was she a SUPER picker--but her arrangements are very innovative...
A truly amazing, unique talent...with the best hair in bluegrass! What a tragedy for music that her career--and life!--were cut short by illness at such a young age!!
Wendy was an awesome talent! I agree with the last two comments. She was a pioneer with regard to the banjo, and with other instruments like guitar, fiddle and others. It's too bad that she was taken away from us in the mid 1980's.
Stupid!

The tune that she's pickin is Earl's Breakdown. Great job. She was so early in her career, and she died so young. RIP.

It's amazing seeing this little hillbilly girl doing licks copied by great guitarists now, she was way ahead of her time.
