I have a black cat named Jasper, adopted him from Craigslist from a lovely lady a town over. He is one of the best things that has happen to my fiance over the past 5 years, he is no way bad luck. He is 6 now and a happy healthy boy. Has a sister Tabby who is a 6 month old kitten, they are finally used to one another and get along great.

I love black cats, we weren't planning on getting cat when me and my boyfriend went to the pet store to get fish food but we saw this one cat (he was a kitten but rather large cause i think he was there for awhile) all black cat all by himself on sale for 50 dollars while all the other cats were like 90 or 80 dollars. i asked the sales lady why he was so cheap? and she said "nobody likes black cats" and i was like I DO and i bought him and hes been my buddy ever since :D

This cat looks exactly like the one I grew up with, and almost the same behaviour. Watching this video made me smile, I wish you luck in finding a home for reginald. If I was able to, I would adopt this kitty right now.
He's gorgeous! We took in a stray cat over a year ago and tried to place him in a good home since we already had two others. Well, now we have three. No regrets; the stray is the most affectionate one in the bunch, and he, too, has never used his claws in an agressive manner, either.
I found a black and white one around my apartments I have lots of them but full size. I feed all of them cat food and water sometimes milk when we run out.And the black cat was pregnet and homelss. I was crying so I told my mom I want to have this one she needs a real home for her babies. My mom told me I can keep her and now she has a home and I still feed everyone one of those cats in my apartments because if noone else will then I will do there job for them being a savior for cats!
@MrsCena456789 Thanks for helping those kitties! You should try to get them spayed and neutered so they don't make more kittens. The problem of homeless cats will keep on multiplying if they don't get spayed and neutered!
i volunteer at a no kill, cageless cat shelter and you'd be amazed at how many black cats there are in shelters. it's disgusting. thank you for touching on that stupid old superstition.
my black cats did nothing but bring me love. my oldest black cat lived to be almost 23, even though he had kidney failure for the last 13 yrs, arthritis, autoimmune problems and other geriatric conditions brought on by old age.

@kougasonlygirl I miss my cat I had to give up this year when we mooved. I had her for around thirteen years. Her name was ginger but everyone called her fat cat. She wasn't fat though, I think she was referred to once as a mountain cat because she had very long and thick fir, she was large and heavy but not particularly fat. Doctors said she was the healthiest cat they had ever seen a few years back though she must be in her 70's or 80's in cat years by now.

It does seem to be true that people don't adopt blacks as readily as others. When you go to the cat adoption sites, there's always more blacks that need adopting, than any other. So, adopt black cats! They're the best!

I had my black cat for almost 12 years now. I saved her on Independence day weekend 1999. Some goof threw her on the roof of a school and I carried my ladder to rescue her at 3 AM. She's been by my side ever since.
We have four cats - you can TOTALLY add one more. ;) Three of ours are black, the other is black and white, and they are all wonderful babies. All are rescues - we adopted one because she had a deformed rear leg. She is now the fastest cat on three legs (or four, really), and I couldn't imagine not having her.
You guys ROCK!! I adopted my own black kitty (named him Guinness) a year and a half ago! Reginald and Guinness look a lot alike!! I found Guinn at Operation Kindness, and he picked me! The people at Operation Kindness also told me that finding a "forever home" for a black cat is not easy. But, he is the sweetest little boy who loves his momma, and the best decision I EVER made!!!

Reginald looks just like our little black kitty, who we adopted a few years ago. Her fur is soooo soft, we think she's part bunny. :) She is also very careful with her claws.

I had a cat named, Tabby, short for Tabbitha. My grandma named her Tabbitha Twicthit after a movie she saw. Tabby was a multi colored cat. She was very sweet, she been around since a was a little baby...she died on January 15,2010. She lived to be 19, which wud be pretty old in cat years...my grandpa and grandma found her at a library in a cardboard box.She had a brother named Samy, he died sometime around 1999, he died of cancer...i never met samy but atleast i knew his sister, TabbyIMISHER T-T
Oh he's so cute! When I saw this black cat called Salem from a TV show years ago I thought black cats are magnificent and always wanted one. Last year my father surprised me with a black kitty he took it by force (joke) from his friend hahaha he's now 1 year old and still very playful :)
I rescued a stray who looks like the girly version of Reginald. Lili Von Shtupp was hanging around my house for about 6 months when I decided it was time to try take her in. I couldn't catch the little tart before she got pregnant. Fortunately I was able to work with a cats only vet clinic to place Lili and her 5 kittens (who were born on my front porch!) with a foster parent ; we recently found terrific homes for all the kittens and Lili is now home with me. My very lucky black cat! =)
You are too cool for rescuing cats. I volunteer at a cat rescue in Lakewood, CO, Angels with Paws and we rescue hundreds of cats a year on a shoe string budget, so I can relate. Perhaps you could add a message about adopting from rescuers, shelters instead of purchasing pets from breeders or at the very least a message about spaying and neutering pets at the end of your films. Thanks for being a rescuer!
My friend has 3 black cats.Most ppl don't want black cats.I saw a huge 20 lb black cat named Panther at a cat show years ago.The cat shelter refused to put him down.He was found as a huge stray kitten on the streets.

Not many people know that very few people want a little black male cat, & most of them end up abandoned & homeless & their lives become hopeless without help. You guys are AWESOME! You seem like a wonderful person! I've been an animal lover my whole life. I am currently a pet sitter in Oklahoma City and being around animals is such a blessing. They have much bigger hearts than people and are so much more intuitive and smarter and humane!

Black cats are NOT bad luck! My baby, Tidus, is a black cat and I say he's the Bringer of Peace & Tranquility. Joy and Happiness. BEST thing that's EVER happened to me. ^_^ Very laid back, gets along with other pets, he listens, and he's just so chill! I'm STILL surprised at how great his temperament is. & that's that I've had him since he was a kitten, and he's two now. I LOVE my baby. Tidus the Terror. Lol....Love of my life. All black cat!

When they do move around, they're moving slow, so he gets bored of watching them. But he DOES love the crickets that I feed to my 3 tarantulas. Sometimes I might toss out a cricket just so that he can have his fun hunting it down. He doesn't eat them, just like to kill them, I guess. I know..I'm gross, I get that by now. *Sheesh!* Lol.

Not once did he strach or hiss unless you really hurt him in which case you knew when to stop. He was such a awesome, calm and laid back cat.
I found my kitty Ada out on the street a few years ago, walking by the high school football stadium. She was only 3 months old when I found her. She had a wound on her side, a pretty big scrape. I knew I had to keep her when she ran up to me and jumped right up on me. When I picked her up, she licked me on the nose. She is 3 years old now, and happier than ever : )

I had a black cat, named Baby, and she lived to be about 13. We had to keep her in on holidays... she was abandoned and abused and had kittens when she was a kitten, and all of her kittens died-- the proof was sadly under the porch of the next door neighbors, which were found when they re-modeled the house. She died May 20th 2009. I love your videos, and thank you so much for taking care of that black kitten and finding him a wonderful home.
pk. My cat guy "Squeaker" is going 18 now, but has never learned any of that cat-yodeling stuff that you demonstrate. I've tried your techniques, but nothing works. He still just goes "Squeak". Should I try some cat-dancing with him while watching the Lawrence Welk Show on PBS? On the other hand, maybe he and I shouldn't be dancing together. We do like to eat at the same time, though. He's been good company all these years. Even though he expresses his opinion, he has never won an argument. bh
Sounds like you've got a good friend. Thanks for givng him a home and sharing your life with him. Are you sure he's never won an argument? Sometimes a cat will let you think that you have even though he/she is wiser.

i have a black cat named Lucy. she is always up to something. I use your method of "Corporate Cuddling" on her which she hates but it works! I tried to give her to a friend when she was a few months old but she just hid all the time and wouldnt come out except at night to eat ;but whenever I went there and called out for her she came screaming out from wherever she was to see me so in the end I had to take her back home. she is happy now
Beautiful cat - I would love a cat like that but I'm sure you have found someone closer already. No one who loves cats can be all that bad IMO. BTW, I've heard male cats are more needy/affectionate than female cats. I've seen a pattern like that myself with a small sampling size.

Reginald looks just like our little black kitty, who we adopted a few years ago. Her fur is soooo soft, we think she's part bunny. :) She is also very careful with her claws.

Nice thought. I just think they're amazingly elegant. At the moment I have a black and white and a tortie and white, and four up for rehoming (they're all tabby and white; will make a vid about them soon).

I had a black cat once, Inka was her name, beacuse of her jet black fur, I thing those breede of cats are called bambays and it is also a fact that they are one of the most sociable cats too be around with. And people are so arrogant to still be saying black cats are bad luck.

I had a cat named, Tabby, short for Tabbitha. My grandma named her Tabbitha Twicthit after a movie she saw. Tabby was a multi colored cat. She was very sweet, she been around since a was a little baby...she died on January 15,2010. She lived to be 19, which wud be pretty old in cat years...my grandpa and grandma found her at a library in a cardboard box.She had a brother named Samy, he died sometime around 1999, he died of cancer...i never met samy but atleast i knew his sister, TabbyIMISHER T-T

Oh he's so cute! When I saw this black cat called Salem from a TV show years ago I thought black cats are magnificent and always wanted one. Last year my father surprised me with a black kitty he took it by force (joke) from his friend hahaha he's now 1 year old and still very playful :)

I rescued a stray who looks like the girly version of Reginald. Lili Von Shtupp was hanging around my house for about 6 months when I decided it was time to try take her in. I couldn't catch the little tart before she got pregnant. Fortunately I was able to work with a cats only vet clinic to place Lili and her 5 kittens (who were born on my front porch!) with a foster parent ; we recently found terrific homes for all the kittens and Lili is now home with me. My very lucky black cat! =)

You are too cool for rescuing cats. I volunteer at a cat rescue in Lakewood, CO, Angels with Paws and we rescue hundreds of cats a year on a shoe string budget, so I can relate. Perhaps you could add a message about adopting from rescuers, shelters instead of purchasing pets from breeders or at the very least a message about spaying and neutering pets at the end of your films. Thanks for being a rescuer!

My friend has 3 black cats.Most ppl don't want black cats.I saw a huge 20 lb black cat named Panther at a cat show years ago.The cat shelter refused to put him down.He was found as a huge stray kitten on the streets.

Aww Klusman, kudos to you & your friend for rescuing this little guy Reginald. Not many people know that very few people want a little black male cat, & most of them end up abandoned & homeless & their lives become hopeless without help. You guys are AWESOME! I took little Onyx in because of the same thing. Nobody wanted him. Check him out! :)

You seem like a wonderful person! I've been an animal lover my whole life. I am currently a pet sitter in Oklahoma City and being around animals is such a blessing. They have much bigger hearts than people and are so much more intuitive and smarter and humane!

I have a black cat kind of looks like him but much more hairy. he doesn't like to be pet, brush,or touched , he sometimes attack if you touch him ,we can't even take him to Dr b.c he doesn't let us to pick him up let alone but him in a car . what should I do ? , his hair gets every where, so pls if anyone wants him take him, I love cats and I have 3 more cats but they are okay. but this one I need help with.

When a stray we were keeping had kittens, EVERYONE wanted the black one (it died, though).
All kitties went to good homes, one stayed here with us and is not my precious little striped butthead. ^w^

Black cats are NOT bad luck! My baby, Tidus, is a black cat and I say he's the Bringer of Peace & Tranquility. Joy and Happiness. BEST thing that's EVER happened to me. ^_^ Very laid back, gets along with other pets, he listens, and he's just so chill! I'm STILL surprised at how great his temperament is. & that's that I've had him since he was a kitten, and he's two now. I LOVE my baby. Tidus the Terror. Lol....Love of my life. All black cat!

@klusmanp Ehhh...hee hee. You saw that, huh? Lol. He's good with them, actually. He doesn't really care so much for them, though, as they don't move around much. When they do move around, they're moving slow, so he gets bored of watching them. But he DOES love the crickets that I feed to my 3 tarantulas. Sometimes I might toss out a cricket just so that he can have his fun hunting it down. He doesn't eat them, just like to kill them, I guess. I know..I'm gross, I get that by now. *Sheesh!* Lol.

@jessicarabbit814 I agree I (well my sister) has a tiny black cat names Tia She is so laid back and sweet. we got her from my bro's "hockey buddy".They found her half dead and nursed her back to helth. then they decided they didnt want her but my mom couldn't stand for that and her and my sister completly bonded =)

@jessicarabbit814 i wonder if it's a black cat thing because my black cat was the same way. So laid back even with little kids (such as me lol) who would drag him about and strap him in a buggy. Not once did he strach or hiss unless you really hurt him in which case you knew when to stop. He was such a awesome, calm and laid back cat.

I found my kitty Ada out on the street a few years ago, walking by the high school football stadium. She was only 3 months old when I found her. She had a wound on her side, a pretty big scrape. I knew I had to keep her when she ran up to me and jumped right up on me. When I picked her up, she licked me on the nose. She is 3 years old now, and happier than ever : )

I had a black cat, named Baby, and she lived to be about 13. We had to keep her in on holidays... she was abandoned and abused and had kittens when she was a kitten, and all of her kittens died-- the proof was sadly under the porch of the next door neighbors, which were found when they re-modeled the house. She died May 20th 2009. I love your videos, and thank you so much for taking care of that black kitten and finding him a wonderful home.

pk. My cat guy "Squeaker" is going 18 now, but has never learned any of that cat-yodeling stuff that you demonstrate. I've tried your techniques, but nothing works. He still just goes "Squeak". Should I try some cat-dancing with him while watching the Lawrence Welk Show on PBS? On the other hand, maybe he and I shouldn't be dancing together. We do like to eat at the same time, though. He's been good company all these years. Even though he expresses his opinion, he has never won an argument. bh

I have 4 solid black cats, 1 maltese, 2 tuxedos - and still feral outside 2 more tuxedos (including mom who is pregnant again - & too smart for the livetrap, I've tried) & another solid black. Clearly, I LOVE black cats !!

i have a black cat named Lucy. she is always up to something. I use your method of "Corporate Cuddling" on her which she hates but it works! I tried to give her to a friend when she was a few months old but she just hid all the time and wouldnt come out except at night to eat ;but whenever I went there and called out for her she came screaming out from wherever she was to see me so in the end I had to take her back home. she is happy now

Beautiful cat - I would love a cat like that but I'm sure you have found someone closer already. No one who loves cats can be all that bad IMO. BTW, I've heard male cats are more needy/affectionate than female cats. I've seen a pattern like that myself with a small sampling size.

:3 he looks like the cats I have, I have 3 black cats! 2 of them were from cats under the porch of a neighbors. and 1 was a mother with 2 kits, we toke her in during the winter, but he kittens disappeared before that, so I don't know what happened to them. but

B) I had a "black cat" for 16 years, she had four (count 'em, FOUR) white hairs on her left shoulder (I think 'total" black cats are really rare)
