i got this phone last christmas. the only reason the buttons crack is because when you charge it, if it is not slid up it will heat up and the keys crack. if you leave it open the buttons shouldn't crack

i had this phone, i got it last christmas and i got told it was a bad phone, cos of the buttons as they cracked but still i got it, but yeah its true they do crack and really easily i had mine for about 4months and they started to crack, i know my friends who had the walkman one of this and theirs did too

its just the way they were manufactured

i dont have this phone any more cos i dropped it down the toilet and now its broke so it just shows its nt great im getting the LG cookie for christmas

This was my first look when I was thinking about a new phone. The looks and some of the features are stunning. However, a small amount of research showed that the keys are ridiculously prone to cracking.

Also every user on the review websites reported cracked keys, So I'm going to pass on this until Sony Ericsson sort the problem.

I've opted for the LG KF600 instead.

(if you do choose to buy this, dont get it in Black. this colour seems to be more prone than most to cracking keys.)

the interface of our S500i is slitely different from mines. My icons are different in the main menu and my icons don't zoom in and out with the Everchanging theme. My phone is Engrish and Traditional Chinese. My cousin has the same phone his phone weights MORE than mines and has the additional Simplified Chinese language. His keyboard also has Q9 stroke marks on it. Mines doesn't. I really wish mines had the Q9 stroke marks on it.

Let me clear up a few things. This phone is running fine with a 2Gb SanDisk M2 card in it. I'm willing to bet it'll do fine with the 4Gb too.

Secondly, green phones produced prior to Week 27 have a defect with the paint reacting with the keys, which causes them to crack. Addictedtophones sent me a Week 28 model, so I won't have to worry about it. Make sure you check with your seller so you don't get a Pre-Week 27 phone.

yeah, the logo is pretty annoying. It was test phone that we got from TIM so that's why it has the logo. We don't sell the ones like that by the way. Make sure you ask your seller that the phone does not have the logo before you make your purchase.
