@Ta2dLzrd He's always done his vocals like that, and it's on purpose, he makes a point of sounding distorted in most songs. He sings beautifully and hits every single note when he wants to.
Lol, these guys have changed their image completely since the 90s, suits, cut their hair, no more head banging... nothing wrong about it, just think its kinda funny! =)
Patton...i love him so much...i want him to be my father...i would be proud to be his son...i will be the next Faith no More singer...and i will be original and in the style of the band...
Patton grew out of his The Real Thing vocal right after the album. And that's a long time ago. I don't care if he doen't nail it exactly like the album. All I need is Faith No More performing it, and it won't get any better than that. By the way.. You want it all, but you can't have it. ;)
@TheWhiteShaded He can still kinda do vocals like that, just not for a long period of time. I've heard him sing similarly to his The Real Thing vocals during his time with Tomahawk. So I think it's not that he can't do it just that he probably can't do it long enough, y'know what I mean?
@TheWhiteShaded Very true. You can hear Patton's vocal transition/maturation as early as the Brixton Academy record. It's just a shame that there's only one more record with Martin's fantastic guitar work after TRT.
@TheWhiteShaded Actually what I think it was he was being sorta' along the line's of Mosley and in the production of Angel Dust he put a bit of his Mr. Bungle influence within the lyric's and presence and made FMN the greatest band to ever evolve from the 90's
@XxINCHAINSxX Fat? You've been seeing too many skeletons on TV these days. He's in great shape, I've seen a recent picture of him with his shirt open, flat stomach and all. Not too many men in their 40's look (and sound) as good as he does.
I agree about that, but I must also agree when he says he's singing THIS ONE badly... I mean, it's not bad at all, but it seems that he has no more pacience to perform "Epic".
Nice vid, Mike Bordin needs a makeover! Grey dreads...he isn't a Rastafarian! He looks so different from other videos where I could have sworn he was just in his early 30s (see Ozzy Osbourne - Paranoid live 2002 in Bukodan w/ Zakk Wylde and Robert Trujillo to see what I mean). Great performance of Epic though, and Mike is still a beast on the drums.
i miss Jim Martin who would have thought he turned to pumpkin farming!!! soo fucking odd from being in one of the best band of all time to growing fucking pumpkins wtf
Funny to think of him as "The Darkness"

I like the fact Patton doesnt sing it the way it is on the album... It makes it more raw which is what you want when you go to a concert

his vocals were all over the place in 1991 also--that's how he does it

This band still sounds amazing, which is surprising since they haven't played together in over 10 years!
Only criticism I have is the keyboardist: He's great, but his backing vocals are brutal. Example, 1:05 and 1:12.
Great to see these guys back.
