In my country of the filipines, there is a lot of poverty, this song makes me think of why I volunteer to help the homeless here in america, and why I volunteer at the charity organizations at my school
It's amazing that nobody really cares about homeless people. Everyone thinks they're lazy or just bums. I dunno, to see that struggle is really upsetting. I blame the person, but I also blame people turning the blind eye and only caring about themselves. It's a dirty world I guess. Peace
People don't understand that everyone doesn't have a family or a support system that they can run to when the bottom of his/her life drops out from under them. Homeless people are not all drug addicts and alcoholics out to get tax-free money. If you have never been homeless and hungry, it may be hard for you to understand how it makes a person feel about his or herself. I, too, am still trying to get my life back together. It's hard to dig yourself out of the deepest of holes.
its a great idea to get people to listen to the truth about problems in the world. It's sad people tend to assume homelessness is the person's own fault, when in reality it's usually just unfortunate circumstances.

@murrc2 I too was homeless for 9 months at age 10...I KNOW the pain, it was like 15 degrees outside for the most part..... I hope we get help for these poor people, Odd how we care ( our government ) about OTHER countries, and send billions of dollars...yet almost none for Our OWN people..makes my heart break as I been there, an at age 10, it was brutal...

@murrc2 I too was homeless for 9 months at age 10...I KNOW the pain, it was like 15 degrees outside for the most part..... I hope we get help for these poor people, Odd how we care ( our government ) about OTHER countries, and send billions of dollars...yet almost none for Our OWN people..makes my heart break as I been there, an at age 10, it was brutal...

@CliffCoultas Nobody should go through this. I struggle everyday trying to get my life back. "I used to be somebody...I used to be so big and strong." I want so badly to be somebody again. We can do this. We have to keep fighting and moving forward. I just hope that I can get there. Long days and pleasant nights my friend.
