when I was little, I had a Barney the dinosaur toy and I loved him, I would take it everywhere with me. When I grew older I -sighs sadly- threw him away and I was starting to get picked on because they thought I still liked to watch barney when I didn't and my love for horror grew and my hatred towards Barney, but when I heard this song now, I forgot how much he made me happy, so I asked my mother if she could buy me a Barney the dinosaur plush toy for Christmas.

this song always reminds me of my next door neighbours grandparents, he lives with them. his gramps is from poland he's 83 and he met his wife during world war 2 when he came to wales, britain. She died a 3 years ago, and he's never been the same since cos she's gone. always gets me goin!!

ovalmind thank you for the upload and the photos really hit home! Randy Newman has quite possibly composed the greatest song of all time, I'm just not sure which to choose, if it was really necessary to choose, I'd much rather spend the time listening as opposed to fruitlessly debating! Suffice it to say that Randy Newman is a by God Genius, and Sarah Mc Lachlan is a truly talented songstress with a very listenable set of pipes! i think everyone can relate to this in some way, ex girlfriends, mothers, daughter ect, for me its a best friend i have...we were on and off lovers, and we argue alot about our realtionship, i think shes falling out of love with me..but i love her more than ever, i hope won day she will hold me like she used to when we were together :)

Absolutely beautiful video. This song always gets me thinking. I remember watching this uears ago, i loved it. And whenever i heard this song, i had tears in my eyes. I still do get tearful. Mainly because it gets me thinking about everything, how ive changed as ive grown up, and it makes me feel bd for my mum, watching me grow up and slowly drift away. Thank you for posting this beautiful video. My daughter and I saw Toy Story 2 together when she was little. It made both of us cry then, so sad for the little doll in the movie. Now that she's a teenager, this song still makes us both cry, for the loss of those little girl days. I've stayed the same, but she's moved on. And even though she loves me it's not the same total, uncritical, unconditional love; and oh, how I miss that sweet little girl. :o(
