to the people saying rob zombie's halloween is terrible, pleeaase get with the times. i'm sure the originals hold sentimental value for you but he removed the cheese factor and evolved michael myers into something that can scare a modern day audience. he did a great job in my opinion.

Ressurection never happened. He died at the end of H20 when Laurie Strode killed him. Had it been someone else he would have pulled off that mask instead of just reaching out - especially if he knew the situation.

The "person" clearly had control of his hands because he reached out to her. A cop would have taken the mask off to reveal his true identity. @burmiester1 Halloween 5 & 6 were total Birdshit in my opinion. They just demystified the character far too much, making him a humane character and much less frightening to the audience. I think that's what made H20 the best film since the original, since it completely ignores the sequels involving Jamie and the crappy "Thorn" idea.

Okay if we're just going by Michaels look in each film then here's how I see it: the original is by far the best. 2 is still pretty damn cool. 4 has grown on me over the years. 5 is meh. 6 is decent, it certainly suits him for how he's portrayed. 7 is AWFUL, perhaps if they'd stuck with the mask at the beginning it would have looked better. 8 is the worst of the entire series imo. And both of RZ's I don't care for, just too big. Hopefully the next Halloween features a MM like the first film

mayb it's just me, but i noticed something. halloween in 1978 blew the slasher genre wide open. friday the 13th in 1980 was inspired by the success of halloween. nightmare on elm street in 1984 became very popular as well. then rob zombie remade halloween in 2007. then friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street were both remade. coincidence? or not?

In the sequels, you assume that he is so scary because he has no reason to, he just wants to. However, in Halloween 5 and 6, it is told that he had a curse placed on him by the cult of thorn, forcing him to kill his family as sacrifices.
