  • Farrrah's Story was so powerful and after losing a loved one to cancer four years ago, Farrah's Story and this song fits what dignity and courage most cancer patients posess. Beautiful documentary and that song brought back so many memories...laughter and tears of the loved one we cherished, and lost. Cancer comes from the pit of hell ! It is so dark!

  • Each time I hear you sing this I am filled with hope that someone else will not have to lose her life parter to cancer as I did. Thank you for sharing your journey and recovery with those that love you from a distance.

  • I'm sorry you lost a partner to cancer it must have been... words can not describe it. I remember all of the pain I put my partner Julie through and my parents I remember my mom crying telling me "I have always prayed I would never have to out live my children" it was soo very heart breaking cause their wasn't anything I could do to stop their pain. • this song really touches me cuz my mother had breast cancer. unfourtinatly she lost the fight. but this song empowers me and its just a great song the lyrics the meldoy the message. its just amazing!

  • I feel empowered by this song,

that cancer is not a time to feel beaten or alone.

It can be a chance to come together and run, or row Dragon Boats, or do yoga

and be part of a process that stands up to the big C, gets more research done, and hopefully increase survival outcomes.

  • "They will never get a piece of my soul"

  • Absolutely Jaymi, this song represents all who struggle with the hardships of cancer, in all its forms. Research David Wolf on this site and google... you'll thank me.

  • Reading your comment has lifted my spirit. Your grandma would be proud, I am certain.

Mothers, sisters and aunts such as me embrace the meaning and sincerity your words.

    More power to you hockeychickos96.

  • Even though I am not a runner I still feel in our heart and mind we can still run for life. I have stage 4 Metastactic BC.

  • My reply to hockeychickos96

What you wrote is so precious. I have stage 4 breast cancer to the bone and only 53 with no grandchildren. What you wrote is how I feel wondering if one day I will hold my grandchildren, I only hope if I don't they are as precious as you.

  • What you wrote is so precious. I have stage 4 breast cancer to the bone and only 53 with no grandchildren. What you wrote is how I feel wondering if one day I will hold my grandchildren, I only hope if I don't they are as precious as you.

  • Fair enough that you don't like it

but just to let you know the song is to encourage women to be aware of cancer, to stand up to it, and to raise money for research into cancer.

Hope you and yours have a cancer free life, not many do.

  • what, you like the off spring? (just assuming from your name) if so, i have to say thats prolly some of the most annoying music. If you didn't like this song then why'd you end up on this page?

  • My mother has breast cancer with metastasise. She's in pain. Tomorrow is her first chemotherapy of many that she has to take before surgery. Doctor said it's agressive one and she will lose her hair in a few weeks. She has a very beautiful hair, something like Marlyn Monroe's style. I hope my mother will keep running, for hope, to feel, fot truth....for me....becuse I can't imagine my life without her....

  • I lost my hair, and it grew back slowly but surely. Your mother is more than her hair, it is important, but maybe there are other things that are more important.

Try and support her when you can, and I hope there is someone there to support you as well.

Good luck to you and your beautiful mother. Take care x

  • I am so grateful that Melissa wrote this song!

  • Be cool to know where and when this was filmed.

  • Oprah Show 29 Sept 2005

  • I am a breast cancer survivor and this song gives me chills. It also brings back all the memories of my battle good and bad.

  • CONGRATS ON BEING A SURVIVOR!!

  • I love this song. I've never had cancer affect my life personally, but I know it's a hard ordeal for those who do have to deal with it, and the people close to them. This song just proves this, and even now, I send out my sympathy and best wishes to those who are having trouble and facing it.

And to those who say this song is bad, let's see if you still say this if your life is affected by cancer. Really, appreciate a great song for what it is.

  • thomas 7250 if u have nothing nice to say bout this song then i suggest u keep ur smart comments to urself, this song a beautiful song, if u dont like it dont listen to it
