the UK version (the original) is comical genius, it's not only funny but it actually has a sense of reality to it and you can feel a mix of emotions whilst watching it. the US version however is a DUMMED down version, so dumb americans (not all americans are) but so the dumb ones who dont have a sense of humor can understand it, unfortunately though it just makes the office the same as everything else e.g. ER. its sad that people even compare the 2.

But ive lived in the UK all my life, and I normally dislike most american tv, especially comedy, but I do actually much prefer the US version. just watched some episodes of the UK version, it's awesome!!

ok, i never liked the jim character from the US version, he's bland, boring, and brings nothing to the table other than pining for pam(in the early seasons), but the UK version(Tim) is really multi-dimensional. they look like each other, but the tim character is much more funny, deep, and real... the counterpart for dwight, on the other hand, is very funny and unique in his own right
