About the shoes, plastic sandwich baggies I have done before to help with that. Double line betweet your socks and your shoes. Don't buy the ziplock kind. Just the regular fold over ones, so they can tuck in.

In Vegas try the Krispy Creme donuts in Excalibur & IN N Out Burger a must.. Also Hard Rock & the Palms are nice for the young people.. Hmm light show in old part of Vegas is pretty good as well as they used to have a pirate ship show outside not sure if they still have that..

Other than that you have NASCAR experience & Star trek if your super nerdy.. Just some suggestions you might like...

You should come to Albuquerque, NM then. The weather is quite different than other places, or so I've noticed. It's usually warm, rarely snows, little rain in the spring, and on cloudy days its beautiful. Otherwise, we wish it would snow/rain more down here but it doesn't, sadly.
