@oldsmobile98boy: I have '86 royale brougham with 6cly 3.8 engine and as u seen on this video, that's looks like Royale because my brother has the 2 doors Royale couple and the seatbelt on the driver door, its looks like early when GM makes those vechcles.
they are a great car. i have a 1991. 201thousand miles on it. runs and shifts like the day it was driven off the show room floor. still get about 24mpg with it. sadly half the car is rotted away on the under side.and soon she will have to be taken off the road for good due to unsafe mounts for the engine/ trany cradle, and the rear end is about to fall off. will be sad sad day when it comes.
This one looks like it's at least a 1988 model since it has solid amber turn signals below the headlights in the front instead of clear ones that the 1986 and 1987 models had.
This thing is actually an '87 at the earliest. To things that give it away are the door-mounted passive restraint seat belts & the flush composite headlamps. The '86 had neither of those things.
Yep... at least an 87. The 86 was the intro of this body style for this car (98 Regency was 85) but it had the quad headlights. In 89, the tailights went to all red (losing the amber turn light) and was made over, moderately, for 90. 92 was the next significant makeover for the car. I personally had an 86 Royale Brougham Coupe in Dark Cherry/Red cloth that I bought in 89. LOVED THAT CAR! Cheers!
BTW, the 86 & 87 had transmission issues (Turbo 440 Hydromatic, if memory serves me correctly). I think they worked out most of the issues by 1988. If you are buying one, have the car (tranny, specifically) checked by an good technician with experience repairing these cars (in other words, an old guy who used to work as a mechanic for an Olds dealership! LOL!).
It's at least an '88. That has the 3800 in it and that was not available until the 1988 model year.

@oldsmobile98boy Headlights are 1988-90. '87 still had the separated, recessed headlights.
