I never understood when people would say these were the days but now I do see schools that I us to go makes me cry back in those day I thought it was boring but now I see those were the days
@MegaHellKitten I was there too, remember the guy who fell asleep on top of the fence while trying to hop the fence at the end of it all? (I was sleep deprivated for 3 days, excited about going). The only set I was coherent for was Jane's!
It rained all day and by the time Jane's came on a lot of the people had already left. There were maybe 5,000 left, the pit was ankle deep mud and the heat from the crowd caused huge clouds of steam to rise up in front of the stage. They played movies on a huge screen behind the band; the images undulated in time to the music...it was the 10th and last time that I saw them...it was beautiful and perfect.
y don't u listen yo my good idea../its true i am a villain when u fall ill thats probably because men never can be not like a girl, such a classic girl. i dug the fiddle that was totally unexpected! man, i wish i was there but i was to young to be at a rock concert in '91. viva lollapalooza!
to the person below... i know what you mean i saw janes addiction not to long ago at lakewood and that day will forever live in my memory. i loveee janes addiction with ALL my heart... we love you.
I was there, wet, rainy, cold, great show..I was in High school, memories... I saw them for my first big show, at Seattle Center Collisium a year before...I miss those days...
Ritual is a crowning accomplishment, no doubt, but it's premature to say that it will stand the test of time. i luv side 2 but there are some dated production flourishes here and there- that is also one of eric avery's criticisms about the album
I agree,,,sonically Jerdens mix is dubious. Or is it the mastering?? I say mix. Still a great 90's moment that album. This is Janes at their peak....imo.
questionable, not great...not to my taste anyway. he was the producer of the minute back then...the mix sounds cluttered or jammed up the middle in places. Its not my favorite mix/production .....not a deal breaker.
this is a great capture even with fairground sound. Thanks for posting. Does anyone have 3 Days from this tour? The violin soloist and Dave trade awesome leads as I member.
awesome song and awesome group! Wish they would tour more often now..believe thats a downfall. A lot of people don't understand how great their shows are! By the way, wasn't perry diagnosed with HIV like a long time ago??
Say hello to the best voice on the scene ever. and say hello to the best "live" band of all times. Every time I hear this song, somehow perry gives me strength enough to keep on the road..
Jane's was awesome live. I saw them once in 1989 and then in 1991 on Lollapalooza and they are awesome live. I saw Porno for Pyros and it was cool. Then I saw them on the reunion tour and it just wasn't the same.
ummm no your a jackass, unless yesterday someone coined the term guitarring for violinist ? musta missed that meeting .what a douche bag lol, nice try tho'
This stuff is so good it's painful to watch. It just doesn't happen like that anymore - it was Led Zep before Jane's, and no one else has come along to fill their shoes (their modern incarnation didn't really even come close). Bittersweet to go back...
amazing, i have been looking for this video for years. i was there at the kingcounty fairgrounds and this concert changed my life and i now remember what its all about again. thanks for the post!
Thanks for putting up some quality video. I tried to get into the tape trading a few years back. I love watching Perry in his prime(vocally)and the guys. This band changed my life. Thanks again.
