  • @MegaHellKitten I was there too, remember the guy who fell asleep on top of the fence while trying to hop the fence at the end of it all? (I was sleep deprivated for 3 days, excited about going). The only set I was coherent for was Jane's!

  • The term 'musical orgasm' seems overused these days.

    It belongs to JA.

  • I love Janes Addiction, what a great time in my life, long live the earlie 90's

  • Man, sucks. i live 2 miles from where this took place. Not a good concert since.

  • OMG...I was at Lollapalooza that same year at the one in Mountain View, CA. I was only 15 and it was amazing!

  • I rememeber this Lolla fest foundly - One the best venues ever.

So Wet - So much Rain....I was on yellow mic acid with my wife...That experience - was one of the best days of my life.

  • I miss the very early 90's

  • @granite65granite

    i miss the late eighties

  • It rained all day and by the time Jane's came on a lot of the people had already left. There were maybe 5,000 left, the pit was ankle deep mud and the heat from the crowd caused huge clouds of steam to rise up in front of the stage. They played movies on a huge screen behind the band; the images undulated in time to the music...it was the 10th and last time that I saw them...it was beautiful and perfect.

  • "a man is nothing without a woman" such insight!

Mr. Farrell you are the frkn AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • this was so good thanks 4 posting

  • wow...traveling down memory lane today.....thanks for this song jude..

  • y don't u listen yo my good idea../its true i am a villain when u fall ill thats probably because men never can be not like a girl, such a classic girl. i dug the fiddle that was totally unexpected! man, i wish i was there but i was to young to be at a rock concert in '91. viva lollapalooza!

  • buzzcut, dreads, pants, dresses, no clothes, snaggle tooth,... Perry can pull it off.

  • One of the coolest guys in history but the buzzcut didn't work for PF

  • speechless

  • This is so...epic...dude this nearly made me cry the first time I saw it!

  • perry kills this-fucking awsome vocals

  • I <3 You Jane's!!!

  • those definatly were the days!!!!

  • damn that violen player killed that shit

  • me too ; p

  • to the person below... i know what you mean i saw janes addiction not to long ago at lakewood and that day will forever live in my memory. i loveee janes addiction with ALL my heart... we love you.

  • These guys or Perry are the originators of Lollapalooza. Hope we have more classic concerts that you would remember forever.

  • "Men never can be, not like a girl. Such a classic girl." Great song from one of the greatest lyricists, ever.

  • @Rakeatthegatesofhell god he was ...well a god

  • @tankgrrll74 the man aint dead.....he IS a god

  • gotta' love that violin man. sounds similar to Pink Floyd. Very nice song. I have listened to this song already 3 times in the past 6 hours.

  • the violin sounds fucking sick!!!

  • Pretty.

I love Perry, he's such a sweet singer and performer.

Can't wait to see 'em on the new tour. Hope I can afford a ticket in time before they sell out...which I'm guessing will be instantaneously!

  • good memories...

  • one of the stoniest songs ever

  • Even though the band's a bit off, PERRELL'S STILL right on it. Thanks.

  • a bit off? how so?

  • thats Nice!!!!!!!!! , the violin was alrite!

  • Lets build a time machine....back to the 90s sir!

  • No words to describe how awesome this guy is :)

  • thank you for putting this on here..by far one of my faves from Janes..

  • I was there, wet, rainy, cold, great show..I was in High school, memories... I saw them for my first big show, at Seattle Center Collisium a year before...I miss those days...

  • she have always good ideas

  • I meant to say they were great.

  • they would have been great, I wish they stayed together. the songs from this record will stand the test of time. I wish they stayed together

  • Ritual is a crowning accomplishment, no doubt, but it's premature to say that it will stand the test of time. i luv side 2 but there are some dated production flourishes here and there- that is also one of eric avery's criticisms about the album

  • I agree,,,sonically Jerdens mix is dubious. Or is it the mastering?? I say mix. Still a great 90's moment that album. This is Janes at their peak....imo.

  • define dubious

  • questionable, not great...not to my taste anyway. he was the producer of the minute back then...the mix sounds cluttered or jammed up the middle in places. Its not my favorite mix/production .....not a deal breaker.

  • this is a great capture even with fairground sound. Thanks for posting. Does anyone have 3 Days from this tour? The violin soloist and Dave trade awesome leads as I member.

  • haven't seen 3 days, but check out "chip away" from this tour. fantastic!!!

  • I was at this show!

Thank you so much for posting it!!

    : )

  • awesome song and awesome group! Wish they would tour more often now..believe thats a downfall. A lot of people don't understand how great their shows are! By the way, wasn't perry diagnosed with HIV like a long time ago??

  • No. That was a pregnancy test.

  • God, I miss the 90's.

  • 90s where such a beautyfull time....

  • Fantastic!

  • amazing

  • hermoso

  • beatiful song

  • Good point. I thought it was the cheese cake factory and Apple Bees in every mall in America. But now I see it's actually Jane's Addiction. Bastards.

  • bezsprzecznie jeden z lepszych koncertów Jane's Addiction rules!!!

  • Classic

  • 4:05... In myyy neighborhooood... When shots go off... No one booothers... I love it!

  • I was there!! Thanks for posting!

  • I agree, a wonderful rendition this is. Unfortunately I can't find any downloads available for this concert out there..

  • one of my favorite songs ever, and i think this version is even better than the studio. are there any good recordings of this concert out there?

  • Great version of a great song. And yes, hard to believe the Hollywood wanker that such a talented guitarist has become. Those were indeed the days...

  • The last 25 seconds is pretty good, too.

  • Classic Girl sounds better every time they play it.

  • true words...perry for president!

  • good interpretation..i like it..

come and watch my own vids songs work..hope you like it.. ciao kiss..

  • I was at the '91 Lollapalooza show in Toronto! That Jane's show is still one of the best I've seen in my concert-going-career.

  • this song is my life. this version is amazing. thank you

  • I would assume the violinist is Morgan Fichter

  • Say hello to the best voice on the scene ever. and say hello to the best "live" band of all times. Every time I hear this song, somehow perry gives me strength enough to keep on the road..

  • its hard to believe thats dave navarro

  • i was at this show!

  • And Perry is right on track about " A man is nothing without a women" -man that is the truth!

  • Thank you for this. This is such great footage of a song that i love so much. Thanks again for sharing!

  • Jane's was awesome live. I saw them once in 1989 and then in 1991 on Lollapalooza and they are awesome live. I saw Porno for Pyros and it was cool. Then I saw them on the reunion tour and it just wasn't the same.

  • Good performance of a slightly different version of one of their best tracks. The violin adds a complementary touch to it.

  • this song means everything

  • i'm with you people...20 years of going to shows, and nothing came close to Jane's of this era...20 years of going to lots and lots of shows...

  • u dont think a guy on a janes sight doesnt know the guitarist u idiot

  • ummm no your a jackass, unless yesterday someone coined the term guitarring for violinist ? musta missed that meeting .what a douche bag lol, nice try tho'

  • he means who is the violinist you jackass

  • What you mean "who's guitarring?"

I agree it was and will always be the greatest band ever. This song rocks.

  • for me, this was, is and always shall be the greatest band of all time

    =)

  • This stuff is so good it's painful to watch. It just doesn't happen like that anymore - it was Led Zep before Jane's, and no one else has come along to fill their shoes (their modern incarnation didn't really even come close). Bittersweet to go back...

  • Great, slow, wobbly version of one of their best ballads.

  • "who's guitaring?"

    Dave Navarro. Who else?

    :)

  • who's guitaring?

  • amazing, i have been looking for this video for years. i was there at the kingcounty fairgrounds and this concert changed my life and i now remember what its all about again. thanks for the post!

  • Thanks for putting up some quality video. I tried to get into the tape trading a few years back. I love watching Perry in his prime(vocally)and the guys. This band changed my life. Thanks again.
