To me, Janusz Kaminski may be the greatest cinematographer of all time! Saving Private Ryan, nuff said.

opinion is opinion, but, you should see more films. Janusz is fantastic, but is really hard to point out "the greatest"among so many brilliant cinematographers...
Nestor Almendros, Storaro, Nikvyst, Willis...there are so many, that is impossible to say one's the best...they all have so much to present us...

@ofotopedro True. I LOVE Nestor Almendros' cinematography as well as Nikvyst's and Willis'. Also, this comment I made was about a year ago and I have seen many more films. But regardless, I still consider him one of the best. And it's not just Saving Private Ryan's cinematography that I love, it's also: Schindler's List, A.I., Munich, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, among many others. These cinematographers are all different and unique in their own way. I love them all.
