John Bannister, the surgeon who dealt with Hendrix at hospital, has said he was convinced the star had drowned in red wine, despite having very little alcohol in his bloodstream.
Wright claims Jeffrey told him: "I had to do it, Tappy. You understand, don't you? I had to do it. You know damn well what I'm talking about.
"I was in London the night of Jimi's death and together with some old friends... we went round to Monika's hotel room, got a handful of pills and stuffed them into his mouth... then poured a few bottles of red wine deep into his windpipe.
Describing the night of Jeffrey's confession, Mr Wright wrote: "I can still hear that conversation, see the man I'd known for so much of my life, his face pale, hand clutching at his glass in sudden rage."
Hendrix was alone in the room, lying on his back, with the gas fire on and the door open. There was no record of who had called the ambulance. His inquest recorded the cause of his death as barbiturate intoxication and inhalation of vomit, and recorded an open verdict.
Hendrix died in September 1970, aged 27. An ambulance crew found his body in the Samarkand Hotel, west London, in the room of a woman called Monika Dannemann, whom he had known for only a few days.
In his book, Rock Roadie, Mr Wright says Jeffrey told him in 1971 that Hendrix had been "worth more to him dead than alive" as he had taken out a life insurance policy on the musician worth $2m (about £1.2m at the time), with himself as the beneficiary. Two years later, Jeffrey was killed in a plane crash.
Former roadie James "Tappy" Wright says that Hendrix's manager, Michael Jeffrey, drunkenly confessed to killing him by stuffing pills into his mouth and washing them down with several bottles of red wine because he feared Hendrix intended to dump him for a new manager.
.....if it was suicide, then there most certainly would be a post mortem examination. I note that this report has never been made public. Were there puncture marks on the body? Blood analysis? Foul play? Of course there are compounds that can be sprayed on clothing and absorbed by the skin. Such compounds cannot easily be recognised after death. But the big thing is this....Monika was a material witness at Jimi's death. She died suddenly, and the cause is uknown. Very suspicious!!!

So why then would Monika be killed if she was going to come forth and tell people what they already knew, that Jeffery murdered Jimi? One can conjecture on the motives and reasons for that, but based on the facts, even a blind person can see that something is certainly amiss, and that there are just too many co-incidences and failures in the so called 'investigation'. By who and why we can only again conjecture, but fact is she came close to opening her mouth on the truth and is now dead, and it was classed as suicide. It appears that this was an exercise in extracting the truth about Jimi's murder from Monika. I have not read the trial transcript, but by all accounts Monika was in pieces concerning the facts under cross examination. If holding back, she would have been very near to breaking point as she was placed under great pressure.

This conflicted with the large amount of wine the ER doctor removed from Jimi's lungs and stomach. All the facts and forensic evidence fit that claim including lying witnesses and a girlfriend who ended-up dead once confronted with the truth.

The fact that Sonia Danneman left Jimi to 'go buy cigarrettes', while Jimi was conveniently inhaling his own vomit stinks. But at the autopsy did anyone think to look for a needle puncture mark on her body in suspicion of foul play? It would have been easily seen, despite the fact that the sedative used may have not have been traceable. This appears to be a typical clean up operation to keep Monika silent. Still it stinks! Too many coincidences.

She must have been complicit for her to have been dealt with later. All the red wine everywhere, but so little alcohol in Jimi's blood. A complete lack of barbiturates, and only the Vesperax detected. It is like Jimi has been immobilised so that someone can come in and put him down like a dog, whilst trying to make it look plausible.

.....if it was suicide, then there most certainly would be a post mortem examination. I note that this report has never been made public. Were there puncture marks on the body? Blood analysis? Foul play? Of course there are compounds that can be sprayed on clothing and absorbed by the skin. Such compounds cannot easily be recognised after death. By who and why we can only again conjecture, but fact is she came close to opening her mouth on the truth and is now dead, and it was classed as suicide. It appears that this was an exercise in extracting the truth about Jimi's murder from Monika. I have not read the trial transcript, but by all accounts Monika was in pieces concerning the facts under cross examination. If holding back, she would have been very near to breaking point as she was placed under great pressure.

This conflicted with the large amount of wine the ER doctor removed from Jimi's lungs and stomach. In 2009 Tappy Wright heard his boss, Hendrix's manager Michael Jeffery, confess to murdering Jimi by pouring wine down his windpipe. All the facts and forensic evidence fit that claim including lying witnesses and a girlfriend who ended-up dead once confronted with the truth.

Jimi had his clothes and scarf tied around his neck soaked with wine as well as a half bottle's worth in his hair alone. If you study this Monika Dannemann said she washed Jimi's face with wine. She was making an excuse for the wine she knew was used to drown him. Jimi was drowned & soaked in wine with only a miniscule blood alcohol content. Not possible by any overdose scenario.

One thing about this report that stands out to me is that Jackson doesn't bother to mention that Jimi quit school to join the Army and ended up in the 101st Airborne. I have always thought he just died from overindulgence. He was found with vomit dribbling from his nose. He was drinking and taking pills; the pills made him pass out and he threw up in his sleep. Being high on pills, he couldn't wake up. They sat him up and it got into his lungs and he asphyxiated, DOA.

He described Hendrix as being in "tragically bad condition, physically." Where I believe his manager at the time was capable of foul play, it just doesn't seem likely. @Exiles800 Even Albert, Monikas friend, was told by her that if she commits suicide then it is a put up job. They found Monika in her Mercedes, with a pipe to the exhaust. But at the autopsy did anyone think to look for a needle puncture mark on her body in suspicion of foul play? It would have been easily seen, despite the fact that the sedative used may have not have been traceable. This appears to be a typical clean up operation to keep Monika silent. Still it stinks! Too many coincidences.

This is extremely fishy, and I am surprised that a really full investigation was not undertaken. I suppose her body was cremated to further prevent any later examination.

She must have been complicit for her to have been dealt with later. All the red wine everywhere, but so little alcohol in Jimi's blood.
