it seems impossible to listen to such music (with or without seeing the movie) without getting major goosebumps ! and the movie is simply a masterpiece !
So . . that make us 2 of then ! I also have no words to explain what I fill for her now ! She was simply marvelous all the time in a so deep and complex character !
Already watched the movie but please don't give away spoilers, or at least put a spoiler warning in front of the comment. But yes, that part was great!
Le moment qui vient juste avant le déchainement musical, ce moment de gradation, me fait pensé à un signe qui tente de toute ses forces de déployer ses ailes.
I had walked into the movie theater for the showing of this movie and I caught it right at the part when she walks into her dressing room and kills Mila Kunis's character. I sat and watched until the end. I walked out of there and told my bf at the time that if she doesn't win an Oscars for that role, the Academy is crazy. Then I went back to watch the whole movie, awesome!!! When she turns into the black swan onstage still haunts me! Literally blown away by the little that I saw the 1st time.
i love how the main role (swan queen) suffers paranoia schizophrenia and dissociate identity disorder at the same time, i only seen this magnificent work of art once and I figured it out....oh and obsessive compulsive disorder working her up to dissociative altar schizoid egos over the illusion of perfection.....that's why its not called swans' lake, no room for another swan.
Could you please tell me what music plays when Nina is auditioning for White Swan? I've been looking for the music for days. I do have the music composed by Tchaikovsky, but Clint Mansell made a few changes and I like Mansell's better. Do you know where I can find it?
I saw this movie in english with the french subtitles and seriously, I think also it's better than french version ! In more, the music is so beautiful, and I especially love the song of the last scene, she's so moving ! (sorry for my bad english ^^')
Ive seen the movie and i LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD IT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@moua64 Completely agree. It was an amazing film but Natalie Portman was just incredible! She owned that role and she was so believable, so deserving of her Oscar and every other award she got for this role.
I watched the movie for my fifth time last night. There are soooo many layers of metaphorial significance that you can analogize into your life. My interpretation of the ending: Though her performance up to that point was superb, in emobidieng the black and white swan, it isn't until the final moment that Nina achieves artistic perfection. The moment of suicide. The moment Nina lets go. The moment when Nina has let go of her mind and physical being, so to let the story of the swans take over.
I personally feel the film was a bit patronizing by making some things overly obvious. An example would how they used CGI to the extreme to make it obvious that she was turning into the black swan psychologically (and I feel the CGI was more distracting than helpful anyway). That said your interpretation is interesting and fits the film well. I just think the film could have been so much more.
@vversusv O totally! In regards to pure art he could have done so much more, and alot of the themes weren't consitent and what not. But in comparison to pop culture, Darren Aronofsky is on his way to creating a revolution in the film industry. An industry that doesn't deal politics with its actors and names but an industry founded on the philosophies of art for the people. And you can totally see gradual progress from pie and requim to black swan. So hopefully the next will be perfect!
Superbe film, mon préféré après Requiem For A Dream de Darren Aronofsky, le même réalisateur. Ces deux films ont des musiques superbes & je ne m'en remet toujours pas, MAGNIFIQUE.
