@tommo900 I'm afraid I haven't heard any info on her recently. She left Duxford, though I don't know what happened after. Robs Lamplough who owns her, recently sold his Spit MK VIII, so soon Miss Helen might be sold as well, who knows :(
@jimbob1194 Oh, I hate it when you hear nothing for ages about it, the same goes for the fighter collection, they seem reluctant to even spread any news as to when their problem might be sorted. Regrading Miss Helen, I stumbled upon a site this morning where it said she was being repaired at Filton (I think), but that was as of November 2009. Maybe the spitfire was sold though to make money to repair Miss Helen fully? Just a thought!!
@tommo900 The current situation with TFC, is still unknown, though the other day, their Harvard went up for a test flight, and their MK V Spit, is said to fly on the 16th for the Spring show at Duxford. I'll keep you posted, if you don't go to Duxford on Sunday :D
@jimbob1194 I sure hope to go to Duxford on sunday, weather permitting and if-things-have-finished-their-winter-maintenance permitting, assuming that firstly the ash cloud doesnt make a mess of things and the things I like most in the list are ready in time (i.e. Sabre, Sea Fury etc.). If not, then it'll have to wait until legends!
@jimbob1194 No, however I tend to look at it to find information about airshows, like where to stand, if things have cancelled etc. (and the riat update which gets posted on there instantly), and enjoy reading the arguments =D. May I ask a favour too, if you are going saturday would it be possiblw to send me a message or something on saturday night to tell me if anything has cancelled etc.?
do you happen to know what's happened to Miss Helen nowadays, if or when she's due to fly again? Last I heard it was being sent away for repairs :(
