This mission was the biggest cop out ever, when I destroyed the Dias (by accident I might add) and the mission ended I thought the game had glitched. Seeing as I was playing Imperial Guard and this was my final mission I was fairly pissed.
I know Eldar - Dark eldar relationship is like Space Marines and Chaos and Chaos Marines are went really far thoughout the millenia, and Eldar are really treacherous race, but still, when I saw what Dark Eldars are like the question comes always to my mind that how could be they and the Eldar are the same kin.
Gotta love how in their ending the D-Eldars just raid and pillage, and Vect and Tahril just sit back on their moon in their palaces suppin' soul-martinis.
How does Slaanesh not see the potential for followers in the DE instead of just eating them? It looks like these guys would make model followers of the prince of pleasure.

It is rather funny how the Dark Eldar operate. They are killing and raiding on many planets for souls and people to not only keep Slannesh (Chaos God) from killing them. And, at the same time, they are like Chaos in very much of the same way. Pleasing themselves by hurting, killing, pain, and evil pleasure. Kind of fucked up how they have to live, lol.

I thought it is impossible to enslave Sisters for they are fight them until the eldar have no choice but kill them, just as the orks or chaos marines. And if these guys use webway gates too, they should have some during the game.
People keep saying that the Dark Eldar are the Eldar who went bad. Actually its the Craftworld Eldar and Exodites who went good. The Dark Eldar are just those who kept being naughty after Slaanesh ate most of their souls. Most of these were aristocrats pleasuring themselves in their webway palaces at the time.
In my opinion Dark Eldar was the most crappy race in the Soulstorm. I could hardly beat the Tau at Nan Yanoi with them. That faction isn't made to beat like 8 other armies to take control of a system. I understand it meant to be open-ended, but there's no way in hell the Dark Eldar could have won an open war against so many others. Them developer boyz should have given Soulstorm more thought and create a campaign where all races would have had purposes fitting their tactics and agenda.
@TheKristof91 I can hardly beat Nan Yanoi with Space Marines. I think Nan Yanoi is designed to be the hardest stronghold to beat (alongside Dussala Precinct)
@TheKristof91 I would sooner agree with the fact that Soulstorm is crap compared to, lets say Dark Crusade. But that doesn't mean the DE are crappy. I think the developers actually got the spirit of the race pretty good, fast, maneuverable and hard hitting. With lots of morale damaging weapons. They should however have another agenda and or missions in the Kaurava Confict, because logic dictates they would get vaporized by the first race to reach the moon... (Probably Chaos)

The Tau greater good is just as twisted and malaligned as the humans in the 41st century. If you look at each race a lot are based off of historical or mythical counterparts. Space Marines: medieval christianity, Tau: WWII Japan/Germany, Space Wolves: Vikings, Blood Angels: Vampires, Eldar: Celtic / "elven" but they are all darker in the 41 millenium

The reason they don't settle down outside the webway is they'll become soulless husks otherwise, if they don't consume enough souls. Commorragh is in the webway, which is immune to the warp, and therefore safe.
The Dark Eldar were in no way shape or form related to the Craftworld Eldar or the Exodite Eldar, other than that they are all Eldar. The Craftworlds were vast trading vessels that managed to escape the Eye, the Exodites had already left, and the Dark Eldar were the survivors of those who were in the Pleasure Cults. Slaanesh, meaning pleasure, was slowly devouring the souls of those who had stayed and become corrupted while they were still alive, so they fled to the webway to avoid this.
the dark eldar are the reason for the chaos gods. They cause fall of the eldar race. Slannesh is they're eternal master. All they care about is lust, gluttony and killing. which in term makes the slannesh or the blood korne who is also the war god korne of regular eldar stronger. Plus they are not there to please any god, but to please themselves.

yes and no. Craftworld were there before the dark eldar. So in a sense the dark eldar does not live longer than a craftworld. Yes most craftworld were destory as most of the dark eldar, these dark eldar came from surviving craftworlds. Most dark eldar are pirates who were banned or exiled from craftworlds and band together. They do have a base it one city it called Commorragh.

While they didn't kill much people, they suppressed the people of the territories they gain in the Spanish American War. @TheKristof91 I would sooner agree with the fact that Soulstorm is crap compared to, lets say Dark Crusade. But that doesn't mean the DE are crappy. I think the developers actually got the spirit of the race pretty good, fast, maneuverable and hard hitting. With lots of morale damaging weapons. They should however have another agenda and or missions in the Kaurava Confict, because logic dictates they would get vaporized by the first race to reach the moon... (Probably Chaos)

In order to save their souls from Slannesh, they feed off the souls of the tortured and weak. they only leave the safety of the webway when they need to feed or take slaves back to whence they came. They take delight in preforming every immoral act known to the galaxy. and they're more vicious and cruel than the Craftword

@taylor189 Yeah the tau take prisoners. At the end of Dark Crusade they put people into "reeducation camps" aka holocaust concentration camps. The Tau greater good is just as twisted and malaligned as the humans in the 41st century. If you look at each race a lot are based off of historical or mythical counterparts. Space Marines: medieval christianity, Tau: WWII Japan/Germany, Space Wolves: Vikings, Blood Angels: Vampires, Eldar: Celtic / "elven" but they are all darker in the 41 millenium

@jago1877 Actually the only simple are Space Marines and Orks, and Marines only got simplistic since Matt Ward and other writers decided to make them ultra special awesome without any flaws. All the other factions have many different twists, flaws and interesting stories about then. Yes, even Dark Eldar, albeit less so.

The reason they don't settle down outside the webway is they'll become soulless husks otherwise, if they don't consume enough souls. Commorragh is in the webway, which is immune to the warp, and therefore safe.

The Dark Eldar were in no way shape or form related to the Craftworld Eldar or the Exodite Eldar, other than that they are all Eldar. The Craftworlds were vast trading vessels that managed to escape the Eye, the Exodites had already left, and the Dark Eldar were the survivors of those who were in the Pleasure Cults. Slaanesh, meaning pleasure, was slowly devouring the souls of those who had stayed and become corrupted while they were still alive, so they fled to the webway to avoid this.

the dark eldar are the reason for the chaos gods. They cause fall of the eldar race. Slannesh is they're eternal master. All they care about is lust, gluttony and killing. which in term makes the slannesh or the blood korne who is also the war god korne of regular eldar stronger. Plus they are not there to please any god, but to please themselves.

@tickleck the eldar arnt the reason for all five of the gods (yes there are five) they are responsible for Slaneesh alone but for the same reasons you stated about pleasure cults, however another chaos god may come if the imperium fall the same way (via corruption) and that would probalbly be the end of that galaxy... unless the c'tan close off the warp.

yes and no. Craftworld were there before the dark eldar. So in a sense the dark eldar does not live longer than a craftworld. Yes most craftworld were destory as most of the dark eldar, these dark eldar came from surviving craftworlds. Most dark eldar are pirates who were banned or exiled from craftworlds and band together. They do have a base it one city it called Commorragh.

Acording to most sources, the real existence of both Craftworld and Dark eldar comes from the fall. Before that eldar pretty much didnt need to do anything, technology did it for them and all threats had been pushed back. So things like the pleasure cults arrived. When that happened, the eldars that were the current ones left in their craftworlds (basically huge ships like the Mon Calamori) to escape Slaanesh's scream (which would drive you mad). The dark Eldars hid in a space between the material wolrd and the warp, evading Slannesh and creating the city of Commorragh, a terrible city or dark and evil. They enjoy torturing people and would raid places for slaves to torture.

While they didn't kill much people, they suppressed the people of the territories they gain in the Spanish American War. In a sense, this is worse since the Eldar would tell you they are killing you, but the US would lie to you with the "We are superior " lie. As for the Dark Eldars, they are more in line with the Sith.
