The journey is quite a bit shorter now. These days, instead of taking the train to Paris, you could get off at a station like Avignon or Lyon and get a TGV to Frankfurt via the new LGV Rhine-Rhone.

@diegosapunaru The map and schedule is a screen shot from the iPad app. Railnavigator of DB ( itunes app. Store, it is free)

i really love your video ^^ so smouthy. I 'm French and I use to take the "TGV east" to go to Paris ( gare de l'est) Railway is futur.
