I saw Prof Salthouse's show many years ago at Albacon in Glasgow. It was always a great highlight of the convention, and managed to draw in every member to see this wonderful show.

John Salthouse was a wonderful chap and he and his show will be sadly missed.

Thank you for this tribute. I had no idea he was no longer with us. I had the great privilige of assiting him in the 1990s for his Science day lectures in UCD where I did chemistry as an undergrad, postgrad and even postdoc.

I still have all his printed recipes here and would love to try them one day!

The "demonstration" chemistry professor/teacher is a rare and disappearing breed. It's sad, too. Like meteorology, there's only so much you can learn about chemistry from a text book.

I'd never heard of Dr. Salthouse, but he really sounds like someone I would have loved to meet.

You guys make great chemistry videos. Apparently, you also do great eulogies.
