Thanks for throwing in a few black folks since the story more than likly stems from his studies of Egyptian (Kemetic) mythology which goes back further than Egypt (Kemet) which is Africa; the birth place of man. That's right! the Mysterious people whose stories and knowledge bestowed the Greco period with tons of embellishments to assimilate Greek Mythology etc.. culture were BLACK. Pre-dynastic Kemet was an indigenous North African civilization …. but the nose of the Sphinx (built 54,000 years ago according to legend) was chiseled off centuries before Napoleon's birth. That is duly recorded, the Napoleon story is a latter-day myth. Kemetian noses are not broad like western Bantu … but the face is clearly black African AND female. White scientists agree … just not the Arab "Egyptologists" who still insist the face is Khufu.
@MooPotPie Thank you for sharing. I do remember hearing not reading about the Sphinx being a female. In Egyptian Methology the primo God of this earth plan is a woman. I do know that the Egyptians talked about the place at the Nile where Happi dewells and she is said to be a woman, perhaps the Sphinx is a representation of this goddess.

I also agree that the pyramids elsewhere in the world have nothing to do with "black" Africans.
