i cant seem to find g25 from any site of my country right now but if it was 215$ 2 years ago and atm 1 shop is selling g27 for like 300$ so i might rather get g25 as it has up/down shifter aswell

it also works for ps2. it was mainly desinged for pc and ps2 but scince they all have usb connecters it works

But are much quieter and smoother. Real motor sport is quite another matter., forces are much larger. The point is to better simulate driving forces, and helical gears gives smoother reactions from ff motors. Forces certainly are not so great, so helical gears are better in this case.

Im not buying into the new G27, im quite happy with my G25.

The G27s wheel design could have had a good make over, just lazy

the g27 is not worth it IMO, they took away sequential shifting and just added 4 more buttons and cheap-ish looking Led shifter lights, plus the g25 is cheap now at $214.99, why should i pay $300 for 4 more buttons and six LEDs and no Sequential shift setting? i think those LED's will break fairly easy also :S

and with the g27 the shifter is better and you can adjust the pedal and i thought about it and i dont need the extra buttons if i map it out the g25 has all the buttons i need and i like the steering wheel in the g25 more than i like it in the g27....i think you help me changed my mine with the price thanks dude,,

all the new ones do is make it a little more quite, not more powerful, the g25 isn't even that loud

g25 is loud, I own one :). And it is not just about noise, helical gears gives smoother reactions from ff motors, there is no vibrated movements in ff anymore.

helical gears are actually weaker and more prone to failure, hence they are not used in Motor sports.

Most racers use sequential gears though. The lack of the sequential shifter is too big a price to pay for helical gears. The ability to switch between them is probably the single best feature on the G25 (other than the pedals ofc - all they did with the G27 pedals is lower the throttle pedal to make toe and heel easier, and drill holes in the back to make them adjusable, which i could have done myself.)
