  • i wonder if he has knee pads

  • i thought shrek was scotish!

  • oh wow. Donkey is so gay... well, so is everyone else :0

    THEY CALL THIS A PRODUCTION?!

  • @RampagingKoala01 Oh what a mature thing to say. Dislike someone (or their performance) and lets call them gay. Why don't we just list ALL the minorities (I should explain what A minority is since you appear to have your head up your ass; its someone who apparently isn't you) and then each time your dissatisfied you can chose one and use it to bring someone down. Do you really feel better about yourself after that? Because me calling someone straight doesn't make me feel like my balls are bigger

  • Is this actually good? Just curious

  • @CreativityInsideArt Yes! It's amazing!

  • I don't see how this works :/

  • Lord Farquad is so gay XD

  • at 2:08 he's suppose to do that when he's coming out its just the dance move i've seen the show when it still was on broadway and he did it then 2

  • there's also a Once Upon a Mattress line! ahah

  • Luv the wicked parody

  • this was done really well!!! i wanna go c the Broadway now! i almost fell back laughing when he hit the "Defying Gravity" notes XD

  • Once upon a mattress and Wicked...what Bamfs

  • @MusicallyDan I also heard some "a chorus line"

  • that wicked part made me laugh on the floor!!!

  • The composers of Shrek the Musical are fantastic! This is by far the greatest song ever ;) haha. The arranger of the music is also great! Loved the way they used the different instruments to simulate different things, like the "Timpanies" near the end to show that he's "jumping" on those people! Also the 2nd verse is my favourite when the clarinets and wood blocks join in and they dance with them!

Just <3 Shrek the Musical altogether!!! :D xD

  • And then he needed surgery for his knees...

  • for those unobservant people who keep talking about his height. he's of normal height but he's on his knees for the whole thing, those little legs are fake

  • Love the Wicked reference! :D

  • You Can Tell They Are Clicked :P Awww :P

  • great song but the guy playing farquart isn't really that small you can tell

  • @evilgalore that's the point....

  • Please don't walk on the grass, shine your shoes, wipe your......face!

  • Was the defying gravity bit an actual part of the show or just for the Tony's?

  • @Piccolo13 real part of the show, I saw this live in Chicago and it was in it, so funny!

  • @Piccolo13 part of the actual show, saw it in new york and they did the same thing.

  • He sounds like Liberace... and if he's really 6 ft tall, how small is the little toy girl he dances with???

  • that was really funny.

  • Omg i never knew about this lmao

  • OMFg the end 5 seconds are exactly like wicked defying graavity where he goes "bring me down"

  • Why does this remind me of Pippin...

  • omg. I love Broadway..

  • @bryceep just what is it about then? This is EXACTLY what its all about.. singing, dancing and brilliant humor that requires a bit more than the vegetative stance that you take on this

  • @bryceep theatre in general can be about anything. theatre is just our stories and imagination on stage

  • i LOVE this :)

  • This vid was great to hear!

  • This vid was great to hear

  • I love the high note he sings in the end "Awsome"

  • Donkey sounds EXACTLY like Eddie Murphy! LMFAO

  • wtf are people saying, isn't that Sutton Foster already?

  • @Eorzean yes it is haha

  • @catherine52525 sutton foster fans certainly know their sutton foster. what a bunch of pretentious broadway fans, no?

  • @Eorzean haha true. you think if they loved her so much, they would be able to recognize her face and/or voice haha... guess not

  • He should have won for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical performing a whole show on your knees plus singing at full power the whole time, pretty amazing.

  • How annoying is that one singer you can hear over everyone...

  • love it!!!!! taking trainers on the knees to the next level; however Farky things aren't looking up in Dulock...that's just you!!!

  • Funny, The Farquad scene is Creepy!!!!! It's its a small world again to annoy us again!

  • chicago cast is 5x better

  • it sounds a little bit like the music at the mall. XD

  • Didn't like the woman playing Fiona, reminded me of one of those women who dresses as a disney princess in The Magic Kingdom. Over acts everything :/

  • @RachCharproduction

I think that was actually the point. After all "Shrek" is supposed to be a parody of Disney movies.

  • Where's my Sutton Foster?!

  • @Akuchan7 this is sutton foster?? hahaha

  • chris sieber owns as the tiny tyrant! :)

  • Oh all the broadway reerences make me happy..

    Once upon a matress

    wicked

  • oh chris. we all know you secretly want to play elphaba in wicked :)

  • what is names of song

  • sound balance was off at the beginning :)

  • Hahaha,Defying Gravity!!

  • i enjoy this. so much.

  • LOL! Defying Gravity!!!! WIN!!

  • shrek the musical? please kill me

  • I love it how they made fun of wicked at the end!!

  • what else is christopher seiber in?

  • @cassielombardo He played Sir Gallaghad in Spamalot. He was the Wolf in a production of "Into the Woods," and I think Billy Flynn in a production of "Chicago."

  • lol, anyone remember the end where neil was like "...please, performing on your knees? dude, that only works to win golden glooooooooobes!" XD

  • looks good

  • Can't wait for the West End production :D

  • i love how they copied defying gravity at the end :D :D :D legendary

  • I wouldn't mind seeing this when it gets to London =) However we seem to think the acceptable alternative to the incomparable Sutton Foster is Amanda Holden, and she really isn't ....

  • Can't wait to see this show in London!

  • This is shit.

  • @Reject2humanity no it's not

  • The 'Wicked' part nearly made me choke on my food. Hilarious!

  • The wicked reference at the end just made this video for me! Yay wicked

  • LOVE THE WICKED REFERENCE!!!

Wish I could've seen that show!

  • lol! Defying Gravity! and no one's gonna bring me down! Ahhhhhh!

  • that must be hard, singing on your nees...

  • @Youcantstopthebeat22 I'd think it's even harder dancing on your knees! lol

  • @FairyTrouble true that... ^-^

  • Someone's mike was turned up way to high. It must be hard dancing on your knees

  • LOL! Love it!

  • lol that was funny at the end i think idina may have a rival lol

  • Haha Wicked reference :D

  • Farquad is my acting coaches friend and he says that he has really bad back problems because he's on his knees the whole time.

  • Ok there is a whole bunch of other musical references that just make me lol...once apon a mattress, wicked and a few others i cant name but i heard them before

  • @Dracomalfoychat where is the once upon a mattress reference i didnt notice it?

  • @cassielombardo the nani nani part

  • @Dracomalfoychat ooooooh haha that went rite over my head

  • @Dracomalfoychat That's not really a Mattress thing, though. That's kind of like the Renaissance equivalent of 'la la la' or something. But yes, it was in Mattress.

  • ENDING EQUALS EPIC WIN

  • How do they get lord farquard like that. I know his legs are bodged

  • Man I just can tell that the first time he sung this at rehearsals the entire cast probably went crazy!

  • Oh, that ending is great! hahahaha. Gotta love the reference..

  • "He taught us to dance with razzamatazz. He's trained in ballet, flamenco and JAZZ!" I don't know why, but that part cracks me up. XD

  • The movie is really really really really Better

  • I fin this insulting :S

  • Comment removed

  • lol they had one of the duloc mics up too high at the beginning of the song!

  • This is aweful!! I thought Rip Taylor was going to jump out any second.

  • i suppose they couldn't use a 'little person' for lord farquad, otherwise all the 'short' jokes would sound vicious

  • lmao The Defying Gravity moment at the end almost made me pee. did not see it comin

  • bwahaha he's on his knees

  • This Should Have one. the winners were won by Pity.

  • I think he hurt himself after tripping over his cape. in the beginning.

you can slightly hear sighs of aching. but he did the best performance here.

  • Shrek the Musical is likely to begin performances in March 2011 at at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London's West End. I hope it will be a huge success like Legally Blonde the Musical was.

  • @entertainer1987 i hope Chris Sieber plays Farquaad

  • @entertainer1987 It's Official now.

  • i think thats the guy from hairsrpay who played the mom

  • @twilightloverlol897 You're thinking of Harvey Fierstein, that's Christopher Sieber.

  • OMG they really do sound like the characters from the movie when they talk!

  • doesnt 3:50 sound like "one" from A Chourus Line?

  • Shrek's voice is all wrong...

  • @ToxicTurquoise454 it is a bit different but i guess its the best stage voice for the character!

  • yea no one's gonna bring him down cuz he's already on the floor

  • @gofamilyguy01 lmfao!!! omg..halarious lol

  • I loved the Wicked reference! I cracked up laughin!

  • actually the actor who plays farquaad is like 6 ft tall, he is on his knees the whole show. his lower body is in black cloth and his upper legs control the little legs you see from the audience.

  • the the defying gravity moment in the bonafide song/musical, or did they just do that for the tony's?

  • I Want To See This So Much!!!!!!!!

  • i've watched the show live. and its very great. i thought it was gonna suck cause the movies really sucked. actually the first was awsome but the second and third. were horrible.

  • @BlackBettaBombay09 hi did they have any kids playing shrek and fiona at a younger age.

  • <3 I love this musical. Its so funny. Love the movies as well

  • OMG...HIS KNEES MUST BE KILLING HIM!!! That's amazing!!!

  • 1:45 is where the show really begins

  • @ 2:08 it looked like he tripped or something

  • I LOVED The Wicked Tribute in the end. It was amazing! Lmao. I loved the fake little legs.

  • How did they get Lord Farquads legs to work?

  • @DJproducti0ns The actor is on his knees the whole time and the fake legs are designed on top so he can move them around

  • How did they make Lord Farquad look so short? Is he on his knees or something?

I love the wipe your...face. And the NO ONE'S GOING TO BRIng ME DOWWNNNN AAAHHHHHHH thing. That was brilliant.

  • His legs are fake, see there is somebody moving them, the actor is standing behind a dark cloth only his waist up showing...

  • Christopher Sieber is AMAZING!!

he does the whole dang musical on his Knees with no knee pads, and he has such a great voice. That man is so cool!!!!!

  • lmfao, Wicked!! XDD

  • lol does he really do that Wicked line in the actualy musical?

  • Comment removed

  • @aeris44 Yeah he does. Its after Shrek says he'll go get Fiona.

  • @EcakCake2 I actually enjoyed the show it is hilarious I thot it was going to suck but it is great in my opinion.

  • Hey, that Lord reminds of Robert Debris from The Producers (Movie)

  • i like the defying gravity reference at the end :)

  • is lLord F the same guy who voiced Timone from Lion King??!?!!? (forgot his name...)

  • @RaynardES Christopher Sieber, no. It was Nathan Lane

  • AHAHAH! XD Farquaad plus Elphaba= AWESOME XD! JUST EPIC! LOLS!

  • i love the THINGS ARE LOOKING UP HERE

  • ill admit: when i first found out that there was a shrek the musical out, i was certain they would use a migit for lord farquad

  • @koolgpw actually the guy was 6 foot, he was kneeling the entire time

  • @MuppetManaic i know that. i ment i thought the actor would be a migit before i saw the show

  • i really hope they fired the guy doing sound tech durring this performance.

  • 1:58 - "hey nani nani nani no" - Once Upon A Mattress reference :]

  • Wicked Reference= Brilliance.

  • How tall is the guy playing Farquad really?

  • @wolfmyth007 he's about 6 foot 2

  • @wolfmyth007 Duh, haven't you seen that he's on his knees playing the character. He stands up at 3:31 and at 4:27. He's as tall as anyone there.

  • @wolfmyth007 6'2" according to Wikipedia.

  • When I first saw this and the wicked reference at first I was like "are they really doing this?" when they did I was like, "Whoa, that is awesome."
