Even by strict law protecting our own citizens if an officer is in imminent fear of death or serious bodily injury he has the right to use deadly force. Osama (I will not spell his name the proper way due to a complete absence of respect for him) was armed and had extensive training with weapons. I'm as liberal as they come, and anti-death penalty to boot, but this was an act of war against an evil piece of human schmegma who declared war against us. His capture and termination were fully justified, in my opinion.
