It is still theoretically possible that homosexuality could be caused by environmental factors. Subtle influences in early life or what not. The relevant point in morality, culture, etc. though, is that most people never made any concious choice to be gay. Also evidence does point pretty darn strongly towards genetics being a factor. I imagine the truth varies from person to person. I know for a fact that you can condition yourself to be attracted to a rock if you know how.

In honesty, when you're in 4th grade, you don't know whats even going on in your environment. I was in 4th grade when I noticed my sexuality.

It is still theoretically possible that homosexuality could be caused by environmental factors. Subtle influences in early life or what not. The relevant point in morality, culture, etc. though, is that most people never made any concious choice to be gay. Also evidence does point pretty darn strongly towards genetics being a factor. I imagine the truth varies from person to person. I know for a fact that you can condition yourself to be attracted to a rock if you know how.

Those very scientist became Christians after their testimony's that Jesus Christ nor the Bible could have been faked. No, its exactly the same. This is a predomitally white society, just as it is a predomitally heterosexual society. Blacks are another group of people who were declined equal rights becuase of the way they were born, just as homosexuals are. And yea, marriage is a privledge, but what gives you the right to decide who's good enough to have that privledge. And stop trying to make yourself look good by comparing yourself to the nazis. Since when did this society care what is natural or not. Its not "natural" to put a ton of make up on and cover up the face you were "naturally" born with every time you leave your house, and yet our society is fine with that. The majority of what people eat here is "not natural". And rediculous as that might sound. Over time, nature developed genders as we evolved. Genders weren't made for a reason, they just were and so is homosexuallity so just except it cause theyre not going anywhere.

Wow, that has got to be one of the biggest peices of bullshit i have ever had the displeasure of reading. Gays not being able to marry doesn't make them somehow change their mind and reproduce, so it really wouldnt change anything when it comes to less children being produced. Even if it did that doesn't have the least bit of connection with marriage to dogs. And there are plenty of people rasied by a single mom or dad who turn out fine, so having 2 would, if anything, make them better off

Yeah, where you are makes a big difference. I live in a really accepting city, so I haven't had many problems at all, though still every once in a while me and my girlfriend get yelled at. The first time we ever held hands in public we got yelled at :( Ignorant assholes.

:P sorry, what i posted before didn't come out right. Generally people are fine, and in my day to day life (my family/school/work/social life) I've had no problems. I just mean... even in accepting places you'll still get assholes sometimes. Generally I've had only positive and neutral reactions.

I'm really sorry about your surroundings, and how ignorant and stupid people are. I go to high school in Eugene, Oregon, which is one of the most liberal, hippie-filled cities on the planet. And even I notice how fucking stupid and bigoted people are. It's a seriously lame aspect of our nation's society. If I had a webcam, I would make a video response agreeing with you.
