I am thinking about getting this phone, just for movies/music/wifi device. i was just wondering is it worth it? My x had one and the battery life sucked. She was always charging it. This will be a replacement for my ipod. I wont be using it for calls. I am trying to decide between, Droid X, htc Evo, and this phone. I Also need a good camera. Can anyody help me out? @caveman357 I would recommend getting this phone and rooting it to run the Evo style HTC Sense Android OS. That's what I've done with mine. I have had this phone for a year now, and it seems to have held it's value. It's still competitive (with Android rooted) with all other phones out here, IMHO.

I flashed an Android ROM ( Cotulla Desire NAND ROM ) and my battery provides the same amount of energy.

And it was for free.

Or just use the latest Energy rom, that's about 1.5 to 2 days of battery life and you don't have big lump on such a thin device. Plus it saves you around 50 dollars.

Errrrr , that makes the phone look ugly. But it comes in handy. My battery lasts about a full day when I'm using Windows. However , when I switch to Android Froyo , it dies quicker.

HTC should make a battery cover for the HD2 WITH a kickstand for the normal stock battery. I would go down to the Telstra shop straight away a pay a ridiculous amount of money for one. Because I want a fucking kickstand on my HD2 but with the normal stock battery.

Or with some online music/movie services, you can download music and movies directly to your mobile device. You can also of course convert DVD's and other movie files to a more appropriate file size or type for your device using software programs, such as `Handbrake' which is free.

(You might save space on your device by storing the movies and other large files to your device's storage card.)

but lets face it...a phone like this needs a quite amount of battery so it can work fluently because its like your pc this phon is made to multi task do whatever you need, this phone has everything you need and can imagine you can get the apps for it so it runs like a computer now lets get to the point... i usually text alot while playing music on the background surfing the web then go and play some games adding appointments and doing some powerpoints i do all this

Hi, I have the US Tmobile version of the HTC HD2. I would like to know if this extended battery is compatible with this version? I looked up the battery on ebay (w/kickstand) and in the description it says that they are not compatible even though it's supposed to be the original HTC version. Can somebody please comment on this? Anybody in the US has gotten the version clove is selling? Did it fit properly on tmobile's HD2?

@candymike4u Copy video files on the microsd card mp4, avi, and wmv work very well also I recommend using the codecs h.264, xvid, or divx. Also you need to be able to browse a filesystem of windows mobile phone you either need activesync or windows mobile device center (if you are a windows user) syncmate (for macintosh users) or synce (for linux users).
