thanks for explaining that :) ive bought my first Ukulele after hearing an awesome song by my favourite singer. ive never played an instrument and i cant read music lol. wish me luck!!! ill need it hahahahahaha.
@pauography23 wanna go lower(not sure of this) - baritone, if woman - soprano, concert, if man - tenor. OR just choose the one that sounds most pleasing to you (which I personally advise).
This video was very helpful to me for i wanted to decide which sound i would like to start with as i learn to play an ukulele, this video showed all sounds and gave a description of each.
I also like how he tried to end the video with a smile, it seems today less and less people smile...
Hey I'm thinking about learning how to play the ukulele but need help deciding on one that is below $60 and is still of good quality. Um I know how to play the piano and just a little of the acoustic guitar, if that is relevant. What should I do?
hi, have you ever heard of NeverShoutNever. his real name is christofer drew ingle and i really want to learn how to play like him, can u listen to some of his songs such as your biggest fan, trouble and coffee and cigarettes. after listening to those, can you please tell me what ukulele he uses? thanks.
@ninjafreak12 He uses a concert ukulele, i've learned all of his songs, they're really easy and good for beginners, I would suggest listening to Israel Kamakawiwo'ole and learning to fingerpick like he does
I have a soprano ukulele and I just ordered a baritone. Can I still tune the baritone like the soprano, GCEA? Will it sound okay? Or am I supposed to tune it DGBE because it is a larger instrument? If I can use either tuning, should I not tune the last string up an octive? Should I keep it like a guitar?
what do you think is better for me (being a beginner, with very little previous guitar experience) a mitchell that has laminated rosewood, a cordoba with mahogany, or a lanikai with mahogany?
i bought a tenor ukelele and i was having a hard time asking myself why I got tenor??? then i watched this video and i was like SWEET!! i bought the right one!
i just purchased a lanikai lu-21 soprano ukulele. I am about to go on a trip to florida on an airplane. Is the ukulele ok on the plane? or will it be damaged? plz answer i am leaving in a couple days. thank-you, and btw thanks for the vid.
So the only difference between he soprano, concert and tenor ukulele is the size... but I'm looking for those ukuleles which brazilian people use to play their brazilian music...that means the only difference between those 3types an the brazilian sound, is how they are tuned?
@Fileno93 the instrument you're looking for is a cavaco, or cavaquinho. thats the kind you hear in all the samba music. it looks like a uke, but its not. it gets more volume and a slightly different sound. the most common tuning is DGBD.
I ama beginner and am looking to get a Standard Soprano, what is the difference between this and the concert one, does it make a difference music wise? im just wodering because the neck is longer, does it have more chords?
I hope to be getting the Ohana SK-25Z Solid Zebrawood Soprano uke, would you recommend that for a soprano ukulele? The one I'm looking at is very affordable, but I would like to make sure that its quality.
I am looking for my first ukulele and would like a tenor solid top in the $150-$175 range. It looks like the Lanikai S-T tenor, the Kala KA-ST tenor and the Cordoba La Playa tenor are the cheapest solid tops. As I understand it Lanakai and Kala are produced by the same company and Cordobas are very hit and miss. What would you suggest?

Your feedback is GREATLY appreciated! Have a terrific Tuesday! :)
