@Vegheadsrock Larry Birkhead said at Daniel Smiths Inquest (2008) that he stole his mothers methadone, he was caught on camera. Daniel was in mental hospital before he died. He was diagnosed with depression, anxiety. Birkhead said DS was very angry with his mother when he learned she was pregnant. He even smashed TV set in his room. Birkhead also said Anna gave her son ecstasy because she didnt want DS to experiment with his friends. Police, Inquest declared his death accident. no foul play.

Why did I hear that the autopsy by the Bahama Government say that he had a huge amount in him and he had to either commit suicide or it was murder but this one with Wect said it was a small about of all three drugs making it a fatal cocktail. So which one was it??????? Why did the first autopsy say there was a huge huge amount in him? Did they make a mistake?

@thefifthnail I'm sorry for your experience-your Doc should NOT have had you on Effexor and Paxil at the same time. That's what caused your stated symptoms. I have been on methdone for relief from a chronic, painful nerve condition for 11 years. I've also been taking Effexor for 6 yrs for chronic depression. I had tried about every other anti-dep out there before we found Effexor & got the dosage right. NIGHT and DAY!! It helped me SO much! Please remember your exp. is not everyone's!

Methadone is not like advil. Methadone is a serious drug. He could have been smoking it which they say is similiar to HEROIN !! It is just so sad. He was so young. His mom was so young. Such a tragedy, such a tragedy that COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED !!!!!!!!

I am on a number of medications, many the same as Anna's, however, I am also really against the overmedication that goes on nowadays. People talk about the old anti-anxiety medications like they're bad, and narcotics, but I have seen more problems come from SSRIs (like Zoloft, which was one of the meds Daniel was on and think Lexapro may be one too, but may be wrong on that one but anyway,) I have seen the SSRIs cause far more problems than the drugs that get the bad reps.

They talked about how people chase their pain with pills, unfortunately that's what Anna ended up doing the night of her tragic passing.

These people are stupid, they's talking as if Howard was her ONLY lawyer. He obviously had a law FIRM. And a lawyer/client relationship is nothing like a psychiatrist or a professor having a relationship with a client. They obviously kept it secret for the ethical reasons but it's not as horrible as they're making it sound.

One said he had enough methadone in his body to kill an elephant and he either committed suicide or was murdered. The other autopsy said that it was a small dose of 3 drugs and the combo killed him. Do you know which one it was?
