i think its wwierd, alucard calls alexander judas preist, and he works for isocarot. like Judas Isocarot, one of the 12 deciples that betrayed Jesus, wierd, and "the bird of hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame", people think thats about raising the dead.

@wolf123951 Alucard is very, very into both sarcasm and nicknames. The OST shows his views on Anderson much more starkly, namely that his defeating Alucard as a human would make him a lot more than some mere title.

Similarly, he calls Seras Police Girl since she's going to have to prove to him she's more than that before he deigns to call her anything else. Alexander's a priest of Iscariot--a Judas Priest. That's just how the monster rolls.

Even though I'm a Devil May Cry fan I hate how people try to compare Alucard and Dante. They're different species Dante is half demon and Alucard is a full fledged vampire. DMC stole the whole gun idea from Hellsing either way Alucard could kick Dante's ass with his eyes closed.

I agree. Plus Alucard also has some kind of crazy powers beyond what others full vampires seem to have. I'm also a huge fan of both Hellsing and DMC but Alucard wins this one.

Dante is nothing like Alucard, personality wise at least. Alucard is much more sadistic and evil. Dante as much more decency, and a lot more principles. But they both kick ass.

What part of Dracula cant be killed dont yall understand. Dante isnt immortal. He ages very slowly but he isnt immortal. He can die. Dracula/Alucard cant die and he envies people that can.

Actually Alucard can die. However according to Hellsing-manga, he has devoured 3,5 million people and all those lives are added to his, so you'd have to kill him 3,5 million times. But if Alucard releases his restrictions to level 0, that's when he releases all the lives within him and becomes just a single being. He is most vulnerable then, assuming you can fight past those 3,5 million lives to get to him

hellsing OVA was better animated and followed the manga but the TV series had better music (also seras looked more hot) this song is damn awsome and really relaxing. the ova was just as good as the Devil May Cry anime.

also in a battle Dante would eventually defeat alucard (but not destroy him and it would take a long time) Dante would use the sword of Sparda and go into devil trigger thus giving him a major advantage.

the creator of hellsing actually had like nothing to do with the original anime. the anime was created based on the first few manga in the series and then they kinda made up the rest themselves. the creator Kohta Hirano actually made the OVAs because he wanted his manga to be reflected in the anime instead of the storyline other people came up with in the original anime.

Personally, I disagree; while the music in the TV series was good, the OVA music fits its "new" take on Hellsing better. But thats just me :)

The TV series was based on the manga, but then the manga took too long to be finished and the had to create the 'Incognito saga'.

The OVA took the manga and tried to recreate the entire saga, the result was very good IMHO.

This hellsing is only the OVA, it never aired on TV until after all the episodes were fully released. 20 min episodes is a norm for most all animes. Dragon Ball Z was only a childs show made for littile kids, it didnt have to have the in depth story that hellsing or other anime had. Its only 276 (not 237) episodes of the same thing over and over.

The OVA is better animated, better storyline, has more action and much more blood. The whole "ordinary" hellsing is actually 75 % filler and fillers are usually crap.
