  • HEADPHONE USERS BEWARE MY EARS ARE LITERALLY BLEEDING!

  • Velle if you have an electric drill, and I see you use water... If I use water can that cause any risk of me getting electrocuted?

  • Well I'm making a Steam Roller. Haha

  • Bong here too

  • Just bought a 1.5 foot tall glass vase from Walmart for $12 that gets narrower at the top all I need is a drill and a bowl and I have a 150 dollar piece thanks for the help

  • I tried drilling a hole in some glass and it shattered :(

  • how long did you practice for that.. ?

  • Comment removed

  • I got this sick vase I'm tryin to make a bong out of

  • How thick was the glass?

  • Try it on Hammer action.......Its much quicker.

  • thanks i got my hole done - after watching your vid a few times - cheers

  • did you get any chips in the inside surface - rocking the drill like that ?

  • @ReeferDave There were a few very small, shallow ones that werent of any concern. Once the bulkheads are tighted, there shouldnt be any structural weakness :)

  • @ReeferDave

So the sides of the tank are not tempered?

I want to try and drill the sides of mine, but i want to drill a much larger hole,8 inches or larger,is that possible?

  • @feedthemachine99 no m8 the side should not be tempered - i have even drilled the base of a juwel tank and they say some are tempered - (it was an old one though) - if it tempered it will shatter like a car windscreen and then its new tank time.

  • @ReeferDave could u drill into a liquor bottle?

  • @TheSklazio Trying to make a bong right?

  • i would be practicing a few times before doing my tank :-)

I like your method of running water on the glass - i will be deffo doing that .

but i would put tape underneath to catch the cut out bit when i do it.

  • @ReeferDave Yeah tape works, for the next few holes I did, I just placed a rag inside the tank so that the cut out fell onto the rag :)

  • @ReeferDave whats the running water for?

  • will the same drill bit work for ceramics?

  • @dswrain I have no idea

  • @vellefromhell67 A diamond core drill will work on ceramics, too-

  • @dswrain You cant really go through ceramic perfect. It has to be made right after taken out of the mold. Just cut a hole through the slack.

  • @dswrain - A diamond core drill or tools will work on ceramics, too-

  • Water removes surface resonances...

And also prevents the dust to lift off...

So it wont go awry when cutting it...

  • decapeu thermique + eau

  • Bong here too. I'm making mine out of an Absolute bottle. I can't wait to do it but i'm kind of scared to drill the hole in case i mess up

  • haha wanted to make a bong too

its a glass beaker a jacked from my science class lol

  • @370H773H lol word yo i jacked a beaker from my science class too but this video doesnt help....

  • no true pot head is complete without a good fish tank to stare at after a bong rip!

  • @dmanjohnson13 Lmao

  • bong here as well, its this sick tommy gun bottle

  • bong here too. guna make mine out of an old lava lamp.. . should be pretty sweet

  • gowing to be making my bong today

    mmfwcl

  • im makin mine today, but this isnt helpin a lot, can u help?

  • not gonna make a bong---gonna fix one lol

double perc(china glass) with broken perc-gponna drill in to remove the broken bits so i can use it properly again, Ill justuse a rubber bing in the hole..better than not having the perc at all.

So thanks for this helpful vid--even if you didnt intend it to be uised for nefarious purposes like 99.9 percent of us whove viewed ur vid will/are/did lol

  • i made a bong outta a jack daniels bottle best bong ive ever made/had

  • wow i just went out and bought my own bong instead of making one and now i am learning how to customize my fish tank

  • guilty :P

  • i wanted to make a bong 2!!! B) yeaa

  • bong here too lolol.

  • Bong! xD

  • Bong makin here too!

    -Vancouver-

  • everyones here tryin to make bongs. including me!!!

  • IM MAKING A BONG TOO!!XD

  • haha so true man, my reason exactly haha

  • Stealthy.

  • are u going to put the white tubes in your hole from this video dude?

  • what white tubes? are you talkin about pvc?

  • Could i do this with a bottle??

  • your making a bong arent you gilgemesh1205?

  • Are you?

  • i think a large amount of people are trying to make holes in a bottle of some kind for an epic bong. admittedly it is why i looked this up. hold the bottle, submerged under cool water, then get a diamond tipped drill and drill very slowly. once a hole is made you can sand paper it smooth, or slightly larger.

  • lol you caught me XD

  • Who would watch a video like this, without any intention of making a bong?

  • well.. people... that like to cut holes in glass? or.... someone making their own fish tank! ... yeah ok most people would but still!

  • Is it possible to make a hole on a vertical glass? They tried that with myth busters, but I'm sure you are doing it in a different way.

  • me to

  • hahaha you all crack me up. stoners are such industrious people.

  • Thank you!

  • It's funny, everyone who goes here, does it for their bongs. lol same here

  • so...does this thing work for making bongs or what?

  • haha, that's what I'm looking for too.

  • I guess you can try, I dont know how well it would work on curved glass. But maybe can smoke out of a 1 gallon tank hahah

  • sooo... is a diamond drill bit absolutely required for drilling through glass?

i'm on a limited budget here, hence the reason why i need this video

  • As far as I know, yes a diamond-bit holesaw is absolutely required. They're cheap though, usually around $15 on ebay. If you try to use a holesaw made for drilling through wood or metal, you'll instantly shatter the glass.

  • ive used those carbide bits and they do work.the problem is it takes to long and the hole isnt round enough.

  • funny me too

  • ME too have a wine bottle for a...classy bong haha

  • yea im so lookin for the same thing

  • five star!

what is the drill head make of?

how long does it takes to drill a hole?

can a drill powered by AC do the job as i see you are using a cordless drill.

does the drill head comes with different size?

  • The drill head is a cheap diamond-bit hole saw from China that I found on Ebay for about $20. The entire hole takes about a minute or so, and yes, an AC powered drill does the job nicely as I am actually using one, not a cordless. And yes, the drill head comes in various sizes. Thanks for the comment! :)

  • thanks for the reply man.

can you show ebay link to the drill bit?

i went to two local store, haven't find one yet.

  • Does this work for Marine aquariums so i could put my Overflow system in?

  • Yep, thats actually what I drilled the holes for. :) Its set up as a nano reef tank with a 30 gallon sump underneath the stand.

  • wow, sounds like your neighbors loved you this day, and i could only think that your garage made it echo out across the street too
