It might be the 59.40000 Bit rate cause i think if your computer isnt the best, then i dont recommend doing that. I myself have a descent computer, not the best but i always put 30 bit rate.

@AnxietyBull Try doing a system restore to the day before it started acting up. I had a problem similar to yours a few months ago and the system restore fixed it. Hope this helped. :)

When i record an m2ts file with total media extreme with AC3 audio, sony vegas always crashes when i import it in there. But when i use AAC audio there is no audio when i import it into vegas (same with a .ts file). Also when i record using mp4 and then when its imported into vegas its just a black screen on the video. PLEASE HELP!!!

@ApplyForce hi, dont know if you fixed this problem yet or not, but i had the same thing. when you record on totalmedia extream you need to record on the setting AVCHD not xbox360 or ps3. after i recorded it like that the files worked fine on vegas 10, centerd in the preveiw screen. appearently that xbox360 or ps3 setting is for just playing without recording.

@DjAndroctonus I don't use Vegas 10 but I do use Vegas 9 and Hauppauges do have a problem with it. Even if you are recording with an xbox, set it to "Playstation" in the recording screen. It then uses M2TS coding (as far as I am aware) which is a codec that Vegas can understand. You might be getting a wierd version of the problem.
