  • Hey man, I was wondering how you get to these trails and then how you leave after you've ridden to the Sawpit trail, which obviously is way downhill from where you started. Do you drive up from somewhere or bike up? What roads do you take to get there? I've never been to the "demonstration forest" part of Nisene. Thanks in advance for the help. I'm going biking Tuesday with some friends in Nisene, and these places look rad.

  • I think I may have seen you out there recently... I remember seeing that dog (or one similar) go by the heli landing pad area on the top...

  • It's highly likely, ride there a lot and we take Ridge Trail to Sawpit, and sit on the picnic table usually.

    See ya

  • I am thinking about getting and acd this summer, I will have alot of free time during the day to play with it but there will be days when I can't. However, I do mountain bike and would take my dog with me. Is riding and frisbee everyday enough to chill out an acd? How is yours with kids?

  • I think you'll be ok with the on again off again days with your acd. once they learn your schedule, its good. If you run your dog hard one day, say 15 miles, such as this ride, your dog will want a day off the next day, just one or two walks and short distance, quickies. i usually take her on sunday, so the separation is not so harsh on monday. great with kids. Best

  • If I didn't have cattle dog myself I'd be shocked that your dog ran along with you. Seems like pretty standard cattle dog behavior to me!

  • You are correct sir! ACD is wired for performance, and built for speed.
