ive seen pics of the 2012 dodge viper. i love these vipers looks more than any other vehicle ever put 2 production but i have 2 say the new version of the car is quite awesome. there is gonna be traction off and on switch in the new viper, so no worries. and the 2010 ACR does in fact go 202 mph.

@coffey46 due to its tall 5th and 6th gear the viper bogs down alot past 170mph its takes like a 3 mile stretch or more to max it.. it get to 0-165mph extremly quick... for 2010 they revivsed the 5th gearing ratio so it can get to its claimed speed which is 202mph!!! quciker!! and in a shorter distance.. the viper gts 1998-2001 has a clamied top speed of 185mph off the floor, but some mangaged 190mph.. the basic 400hp rt/10 manages 167mph.. due to low hp!

@jabba12000 aside from the viper not riding like a lexus, it is a "good car" i've owned two of them, a final edition gts which i only put 2000 miles on because it was rare, and a 97 hennessey 650r that got about 40,000 miles put on it with absolutely no problems, vipers have bullet proof engines and trannys and i have no doubt it would last 200k miles, unless i was drag racing the the tweaked one every weekend lol
well if you say it will last 200k miles i'll take your word for it since you've owned one. But 40k miles is a far cry from 200k. But who am i to talk about reliablity since i own a tt300zx and it breaks down every other week and thats no lie lol. i've already spent $800 this month on it.
Drag racing is not and will never be a european motor sports, road race is the most popular motor sports in europe like f1 and rally car race, and to be honest anybody can run an 8 or 7 seconds on a 1/4 mile at 180mph all you need is an old car(american, european or japanese) that can handle a supercharge 900hp engine with a matching transmission and all of this for less than $25,000 and leaved smoke on both viper and lambo or any exotic car for that matter.

Ok, for everyone who is claiming that the Lambo's driver could have done better, I doubt it. The reason? The Lambo can be equipped with paddel shifters. Now, while I can't claim that this driver's Lambo did use paddles, we see the differences between the viper and the Lambo.

Wow the viper driver had terrible reaction times/launches and still won both races. The Lambo is a great car, but the viper still has a better power to weight ratio and is faster at the track. Buying exotic euro cars is like buying designer jeans. They are nice and super expensive, but something else gets the job done for a fraction of the money. I hope the guy that bought the lambo feels it was worth the image for the extra 100k dollars.
The Viper ACR killed all exotics at nurburgring by 3 to 5 seconds in the lap. lamborghinis are for top speed more than acce;eration and it has 4wd and its lighter... the viper is heavy rwd and for accleration...so the viper puts out more power the intire time rather than the lamborghini has its special rpm spots
the viper acr is very light. it's lighter than the lambo and it has a higher top speed. it's very poorly equipped, though. 4wd would be better for acceleration from 0 than rwd, but im sure the viper has very sticky tires.
the viper only ways like 150lbs less than the regular viper and doesnt way less than the lambo and definantly doesnt have more top speed the acr car barely make 200mph
I would not call it a rape. Less than a second difference, and the ACR is a road legal race car. The Lambo isn't even the lighter Superlaggera version. I think the baby Lambo can hold it's head up.

Drag racing is not and will never be a european motor sports, road race is the most popular motor sports in europe like f1 and rally car race, and to be honest anybody can run an 8 or 7 seconds on a 1/4 mile at 180mph all you need is an old car(american, european or japanese) that can handle a supercharge 900hp engine with a matching transmission and all of this for less than $25,000 and leaved smoke on both viper and lambo or any exotic car for that matter.

Ok, for everyone who is claiming that the Lambo's driver could have done better, I doubt it. The reason? The Lambo can be equipped with paddel shifters. Now, while I can't claim that this driver's Lambo did use paddles, we see the differences between the viper and the Lambo.

seriously? how can there be a bad driver? the car has AWD, plus its got all of it's gears right behind the steering wheel in the form of two paddles..... the viper has it with a traditional 6-speed gearbox and 3 pedals on the floor. along with RWD. common, even if it was a bad driver. the car isnt difficult to drive. which was also said by Jeremy Clarkson of top gear.

They shouldn't compare the LP560 to the ACR even though the LP560 barely lost to it, they should put the ACR against the LP570 supperlegera cause it's the lightened "race" version of the LP560 just like the ACR is. LP570 would take it

i wish top gear would test the Viper ACR, if they did it would prob be tested on a wet track like every other american car.. or they would drift it like they did with the SRT-10.. idiots.. yes i ramble lol

They may test it now that they know the Gumpert is faster on a track. They didn't test the ACR on top gear because they didn't want an American car #1 on their power lap board. But now there is no feat of that, unless the ACR-X is faster than the last ACR.....which it may be. 40hp more. Big smile.

Wow the viper driver had terrible reaction times/launches and still won both races. The Lambo is a great car, but the viper still has a better power to weight ratio and is faster at the track. Buying exotic euro cars is like buying designer jeans. They are nice and super expensive, but something else gets the job done for a fraction of the money. I hope the guy that bought the lambo feels it was worth the image for the extra 100k dollars.

The Viper ACR killed all exotics at nurburgring by 3 to 5 seconds in the lap. Exotics Suck they are over rated, if im paying 400,000dlls for an exotic i would want it to be faster than any other cheaper shit , But no, even the ZR1 is better than mayority of exotics that a fact, talking racing in general, im sure most of you here are going to say something, but hey dont do it , Just analise and accept it.

lamborghinis are for top speed more than acce;eration and it has 4wd and its lighter... the viper is heavy rwd and for accleration...so the viper puts out more power the intire time rather than the lamborghini has its special rpm spots

the viper acr is very light. it's lighter than the lambo and it has a higher top speed. it's very poorly equipped, though. 4wd would be better for acceleration from 0 than rwd, but im sure the viper has very sticky tires.

I would not call it a rape. Less than a second difference, and the ACR is a road legal race car. The Lambo isn't even the lighter Superlaggera version. I think the baby Lambo can hold it's head up.

the gallardo is the cheapest lambo only like 123k nothing for a lamborghini they even have limitors on the thing because it can do ALLOT more than they let it.. its also rwd so that may be another reason if it had more power then it would spin out around corners...
