  • Just beautiful, second only to Michael Crawford's rendition of this song. When you hear him sing the song you can almost see the ringmaster and flying trapeze..

  • she makes it real!

  • I find this woman dull

  • I hope this was a concert because her outfit doesn't match the character of this song at all and for me, it's really distracting, especially with the edgy hair and makeup. I can't imagine this woman at a picnic or in a zoo ever.

  • this is the most consistant throughout her voice...very well down!! iw ould like more of a build int he middle tho!!

  • that does not look like her at all haha

  • Amazing! She seems such a lovely person! It's ridiculous this was like 8 years ago! She looks barely a few years older now! I want to be as amazing as her someday! haha i love how she is all in character and then the audience applaud and she goes straight back to herself all smiley haha

  • eeeeeeeebay

Thsoe 2 Girls (Denise Van Outen) All I want 12" Single

  • wow ! shocked had no idea she was this talented ! Jay Kay take her back !

  • i saw her in it, 5/11/03 , she was fantastic!! - 'keep your hopes alive love will arrive somewhere some time'

  • Very very very good!

  • wow, didn't realise how awesome she is!

  • marti webb and sarah brightman's version is so much better than this.

  • her version has done nothing to my nerves.. she already sings in a lower key :(

give me marti webb and bernadette peters anytime

  • @SugarKatie i dont think she is singing in a lower key. but i agree marti webb has a beautiful voice!

  • She can sing very well, granted. But she needs to learn how to stop eating the mic.

However lots of singers tend to do that. So it's a pretty good performance.

  • this isn't the right key

  • shes rele not that great at all!

  • Great voice, so this is the wonderful singer I've heard before. WOW!!!

Super performance and presentation of the music!!! Great singer!!!

    Thanks for posting this treasure!!!

  • I had no idea she could sing let alone so well! Thanks for posting this gem!

  • 1:46.5 ........ what was that ? Beautiful girl but can't sing so well.

  • You can't accuse her of not being able to sing. I mean.. are you deaf or just plain stupid?

  • LOL

  • good.. but prefer Marti.. Maybe its cos I can't imagine why anyone would ever dump Denise !!!

  • love this song, love her voice (its beuatiful) im not particularly fond of her, but theres no denying her brilliance.... i have one problem though, i have an instrumental version of this, and ive just been trying to sing along to it ... it was so much higher than this though =/ is this the actual key its in? (i know she sung it in the west end etc) but im just wondering . and what note does she hit at 3:35? xx

  • she hits a D

  • In this version she hits a D (one 8ve up from middle c)

  • how did you get the instrumental of this?

  • i have an Andrew Lloyd Webber CD box set thing and some of the songs are just the instruments, others are the actual song .. this one is just the music. i dont know if theres an instrumental version of this on youtube though x

  • Denise sung it in a lower key than Marti and Bernadette, who both did it in the original key.

  • Brilliant, But i agree with the fact that Kerry Ellis does a beautiful rendition...<3

  • agree totally. Her GBS was phenominal!!

  • This is amazing

but i prefer Kerry Ellis's version of this song

    x

  • shes so beautiful! :O and that was amazing better than sarah brightman

  • Sarah20uk.. have lisened t to Denise singing this many times..she is note perfect..sometimes simply not pitch perfect..hey it's live! I was lucky enough to get to see her in "Tell me on a Sunday" She sang live foe throughout..Amazing too! Let's channel positivity.

  • I quite like that it's vocally not perfect and just captures the simplicity and emotion of the song

  • Michael Crawford sang this, and he rocked. Now I know what it was originally sung like. Thanks for uploading this!

  • LOVE Michael Crawford's vocal, but in this version, Denise has absolutely captured the emotion of the lyric.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!! Denise does it PERFECTLY!!

  • I vote for this song to be singning by Susan Boyle on her next competition show B:G:¨T..love Helena

  • I love the marti webb version asi ts so beautiful, but i just think denise acts this song so well and puts such depth of emotion into it

    love it :)

    xxx

  • I love this, she makes it sound so emotional. There are a lot of versions from immature young girls and career show singers that make the song sound flippant or plain. This is how it should be done, what a stunning rendition. Congratulations Denise.

  • Agreed. However, Kerry Ellis also does an emotional beautiful rendition too.

  • I agreee

    her GBS was amazing

    :/

    x

  • Some people are so lucky.. Looks, Talent & Money :( Lucky Bitch lol

    <3 Denise xx

  • @westmonchick And Lee Mead.

  • Helllooo Denise!

  • that was beautiful- the casualness of it

  • What year was this?

  • Either late 2002 or early 2003, i'm not 100% sure.

  • very well sung.

  • hey quick q dus ne1 hav ne idea wat note she is hitting wen she sings

'take the hurt out of all the pain'

    ?

  • its a high E

  • Thank you, its the first version ive seen with sum singing that part so wasnt sure if it had been transposed, shes an amazing singer! i'll have to do some voice work to get that note!

  • yeah its fun to sing too! i just sang it at alabama nats competition!

  • In this version it's actually a high D rather than a high E as the whole song was transposed down two semitones into B Flat Major for Denise.

  • It can't have been "transposed down" for Denise- Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote the part specifically for her!!

  • Actually it was written in 1979 and originally featured Marti Webb.

  • She loks ravishing and she does this powerhouse number excellently. To heck with the accent, it doesn't really matter when it's not part of the show as a whole.

  • if she is ment to b an english girl in america why does she sing with an american accent, sorry not a fan!! appologises to those who don't agree

  • That doesn't sound like an American accent at all.

  • She sounds so ENGLISH it's funny.

  • I generally don't like DVO, but she was quite good in Tell Me On A Sunday.

  • I think Denise van Outen is underated as a singer, thanks for uploading this :-)

  • I agree! :)

  • omg ... ive never hearsd her sing before. ive watched any dream will do, and, id do anything ... and hadnt heard her sing. shes absolutley fantastic! she has the most beautiful voice ive ever heard... shes brilliant ... generally i dont like her .. but her voice is beautitful xx

  • I love the way denise sings take that look of your face (also from this musical) she has so much power n emotion in her voice these songs really suit her. :)

  • this is such a beautiful song =]

    x

  • Yeah I do somewhere, i'll try and upload it at the weekend for ya :-)

  • what other song did she sing??

  • Somewhere, Someday, Sometime. Having probs uploading it tho, but give me a couple of weeks :-)

  • aww great thanks! love that song!

  • @kazzy1313 Take That Look Off Your Face

  • Do you have the other song she also did that night on Parky?

  • I didn't think this was great. However, it's the best I've seen her sing so that's saying something.

  • she aight.

  • Hi Josh - yes, two stars they are!!
