Now this is cool! I'm planning a 'speeder' type loco, that I can ride on.I have a Battery-Electric loco (24volt) which I am looking to copy. However this intrigues me! I have seen the website, and it is certainly interesting what can be achieved with little time, effort and money...
More than six hours on a charge. Three kids, or one adult. My track has quite some grades. On totally flat ground, I'd say 6 kids or two adults, easily.
No foundation whatsoever. It's a "portable" track, laid directly on the lawn and the gravel. A few wood slats are under it whenever the ground is too soft. Strips of green plastic tarpaulin prevents the grass from growing through. More on my website, see info top right
Cute little train. I have a similar looking 7 1/4 Gauge phantasy shunter.
Thumbs up! :)

@Chay714 - No, it's (very loosely) based on a Finnish prototype.

How many hours can it run on a single charge? How much weight can it pull? Can it pull adults as well?
Thanks

Ever heard of Google? ;-)
It's not possible to post URLs here, so google for the "discoverlivesteam" website. Theres a somewhat dated list of suppliers on that site.

Can you please inform me of the dimensions of the loco.
I am seriously looking at building a loco like yours. But using only a 12v motor.
Length and Width are needed. Not so much height.I can work this out.
Looking forward to the reply.

Again, see the website mentioned in the box at top right, below my "Mickey" mug shot (click "more info").
The dimensions are marked (in millimeters) on the very first drawing on the site! Those measurements apply to a 7-1/4" or 7-1/2" gauge engine only.

I am guessing that the track has concrete foundations.Correct???
It seems to have been layed straight onto the ground.
Interesting.
