That appears to be a piratic flycatcher. Anyway the bird is trying to attack the "intruder" in its territory. Many species (mockingbird) will literally kill each other over things like this.
the chirp sound he is making is not of a threatening, birds cannot tell gender by sight. he thinks it is a female and the pretty chirps are that of trying to charm a mate
