this brings back memories , we used steel soda pop cans , 3 cut of both ends the 4th one you poke a hole on the side of the base . ducked tape the 4 together . propellant was lighter fluid , load ball then apply a squirt thru base hole then grab by opposite end and whip up n down. that makes fuel vaporize NOW the fun morar fights. lighter to the touch hole.boom heheh fun time in the summer.

very well made mortar... if your are willing to try and get the tennis ball exactly where you want them then try this formula: r=1/9.8 v^2 sin(2x). youll need a graphing calculator but it is very handy to use if you want to rain tennis balls on someone percisely will being hidden. x is the angle, v is the velocity, and r is the range

its eazy. get pressure rated PVC and PVC cement (do NOT exceed the max PSI of your weekest component be it the PVC parts or glue). your back end will be your air tank (use a bicycle check valve) and separate the barrel and the tank with a ball valve. do not make your barrel have a wider radius than your tank. respond for more info if you want.

That sounds like it would work, but if you fill the chamber up with too much propane, there isnt enough oxygen for the explosion, and the ball wont go as far. this is the mistake my friend andy made in the clip "andy's mad skillz".
