@thelostcomrad Actually they didnt put germany into depression, europe was in depression but germany was fine. Hitler faught the depression and built an army in one foul swoop. He took all the young men from other countries with promises of jobs and security, all they had to do was join there youth camp (they couldnt have an army). Training he gave them was military in nature and prepared them for what was to come. And come they did from all over europe.

Germany was not fine in the Depression- the only reason the Nazis got into power was because of the Depression and how the Nazis manipulated its fears to their advantage - in 1928, Nazi popularity was only 2.6% support. The serbian military was also involved and though a number of conspiritors in serbia and france were caught and tried the fuse was lit. End result germany declared war on serbia, and the european powers (france, britian, italy and russia) felt they had to help so declared war on germany = WWI.

@RSleepy Actually it isnt a folk song, from memory it was written for the tankers as germany at that stage had the only real dedicated (and organised) tank force in strength. Since then it has been translated into other languages and sung by tank crews all over the world,

@slizzler1 Russia and Germany were not allies, they signed a treaty saying they wouldnt attack each other. Stalin took it to heart and wanted to make it work to the extent he withdrew nearly all of his forces from the border. Some say he actually disbanded what tank forces he had and sent the commander to siberia, only to call him back and rewrite the book of tank tactics after the germans attacked (dont know if thats true or not).

Soviets gave the Nazis resources and food- and ports for German Navy to evade the British Navy.
They also divided North Eastern Europe between them.

Also the Nazis and Zionist Jews Collaborated to make a state of Israel. The Brits and Amerikans insured a war with Germany and they insured hostility to to Jews by denying them entrance into their countries also Britain put jews in camps in Cyprus, funny stuff. In the mid-1930s, sHitler was pro-Zionist. The Nazis were in a scheme with Zionists trying to make British-controlled Palestine the Jewish Homeland- ie, take all power away from Muslims there; that plan failed because most European Jews were not Zionists and ignored the BS plan.
ONLY Later, this led to the Nazis allying with islamofascists -ONLY.
