I don't think I'll ever understand why people want 2 change their sexual organs, hormones, & dress 2 look like something they're physically not. Why hate your genitals?Why not try 2 love yourself for all that u are?Thinking of lesbians who dress like men:I thought lesbians were attracted to women,so why try 2 look/act more like a man?I guess if that's something someone really wants to do that's cool. But it seems to me that most cases stem from insecurity about what they think they should be.

With a transsexual your mind says you are one thing but your body doesnt match. Since there is no procedure or therapy that has been shown to have any effectiveness in changing the mind transsexuals turn to the other option which is to change the body to match the mind.
I think the fact that society has such stereotypes concerning men and women only pushes people to try to conform to those stereotypes to try and be "normal." But why is there a way a boy or girl should act or be? I'm not saying that being a transsexual is wrong, but why couldn't you just be what you were? There are plenty of people who have penises that fantasize about men and vice versa for females. Plenty of people aren't as "macho" or "feminine" as they think society wants.

Isn't a lot of what you're describing about society rather than you? When I was little, I wore boys clothes, played rough, etc., but that was ok for a girl.

Good for you! More people need to figure out what makes them comfortable with themselves and live that way regardless of what others think. Its not a path I would ever take but I've always had admiration for transexuals for taking the ultimate step in smashing the gender barrier.

Transsexual is not misleading, it means that a person has changed from the male gender( or sex) to the female gender or vice versa. The sexual part in Transsexual has to with the gender not the act.

I love what you said. It is soooo true. For me, I also knew from about 5 or 6 or so. I was always so jealous of my older sister. Quite an amazing story, I experienced something a bit similar, for me I tried the tranvestism but found that I didnt feel comfortable dressing full time. Wow it must have been so weird having these fantasies of other boys (your true self) and then look down and be in a boys body, when you were fantasizing yourself as a woman.
You are lucky though, you have women parts but you probably have the metabolism of a man, meaning it will be easier for you to stay lean and skinny.

Good for you! More people need to figure out what makes them comfortable with themselves and live that way regardless of what others think. Its not a path I would ever take but I've always had admiration for transexuals for taking the ultimate step in smashing the gender barrier.

same exact thing with me, i always fantasized about sex with a guy, and me as a girl. i thought i was weird, until i discovered transsexualism. and i realized that was ME. i was 15, then i got in a serious relationship at 16, and i had to put my transition on hold. my boyfriend didnt except me... and now im 17! and i dont care anymore, i felt like i wasnt being true to myself. and it felt bad and gross. so now i FINALLY start my journey. best wishes to you hon. I understand you 100% I think it is almost impossible to understand us unless you live a day in our lives, I knew I was born into the wrong body as young as 12 I used to pray to God to miraculously change me into the girl I knew I was, now at 43 I am starting the journey and I am so excited for the future. My wife is afraid of me becoming more feminine but I am doing it for my sanity and well-being, I long to look in a mirror and see my breasts and feminine shaped body..

Transsexual is not misleading, it means that a person has changed from the male gender( or sex) to the female gender or vice versa. The sexual part in Transsexual has to with the gender not the act.

@Greatest1981 In english yes, but in sweden 'sex' only has to do with the act, we have another word for gender, so to swedes it sounds like it is a sexual perversion, not a matter of gender.

I love what you said. It is soooo true. For me, I also knew from about 5 or 6 or so. I was always so jealous of my older sister. She got to wear all the cute clothes (even if she really didn't want to as she was very much a tomboy). I was so jealous when she started having boyfriends... I wanted a boyfriend of my own.... I know I also made the right decision for me.

Quite an amazing story, I experienced something a bit similar, for me I tried the tranvestism but found that I didnt feel comfortable dressing full time. I never felt I had a specific gender, neither male or female, but a mix of both. I came to accept this and I'm at peace myself. Because I went through this I kinda know what you mean by being at ease with yourself, your a very beautiful woman and I think you shine because of it.
