@randomchampion really? I agree that music was better in SC1 and unit sounds were totally AWESOME, but come on. The new battle.net IS better, it's optimised, gives you even opponents, everything is clear and vivid. The campaign in SC1 actually sucked. The story was nice, but the missions were so boring - get there, destroy this, kill all enemies, survive. In SC2 every single mission is different. And multiplayer is way better too. The game begame much more micro-oriented and dynamic.

it's a shame sc2 blows compared to sc1. and in all aspects except graphics too - sc1 had better story, music, units, unit designs, characters you name it. Even the battle.net was more fun in terms of layout and community than SC2's new "davanced" battle.net. SC2 is just another RTS game - it doesnt have what what it takes to become a classic like SC1

Eh i'm not sure about that lol. Bizzard pulled the generic "an even more powerful enemy comes that forces the previous enemies to band together" card. I now see your point though saying that the story isnt completed yet.  However, I also think that each part of the trilogy should be good as a standalone unit. Quite frankly, SC1 had one of the best story lines for a video game. I dont see how they can redeem SC2s story to become AS good.

SC 2 changed the Overmind's voice akin to smeethel's voice in Lord of the Rings 3. Though I find nice but at same time funny.
