you do know that all internal/external hard drives are the same size and Weight but they just expand the disk space

thats only partially true. it would be fair to say that a 1tb isnt amazingly heavy compared to say a 500gb drive however my 1tb drive is noticeably heavier than my 120gb drive. however this probably has less to do with the amount of storage and more to do with the way it was manufactured considering the large time difference in mfg. date. also keep in mind old school drives that are 4mb but are the size of a dictionary. sizes change when standards change.

Lol, that's nonsense. The gigabytes, or gigobytes as you call them, really are not there. It's a markting technique using the difference in gigabytes and gibibytes. This is the case with all hard disks though.
