I agree bigtex, except you have to realize that this legislation is designed to destroy the private insurers in the long run, not make them more profitable. Mandating everyon ehave insurance is just a ploy to ensure lots of people sign up for the public option. Those employers that provide it will switch to public option for the cost savings (necessary due to the Obama economic plan) and those that don't will be forced to. they want the power of a single payer system, that's all.
And that's exactly what the "plan" has in store for employees... employers taking the cheaper way by paying in the 8% fine (tax) instead of the higher price of offering them insurance through their firms!
But isn't that part of the plan as well???
Putting 150 MILLION PEOPLE on the "co-dependent" payroll of the government called "single payer"????
Of course employers will let the government take on their employees healthcare! Their going to be crippled with taxes to pay for it anyway, why wouldn't they?
